WEB CONTENT COORDINATOR
Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in
2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcasting organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter
Games and Youth Olympic Games. The Host Broadcaster is responsible for delivering the pictures
and sounds of the Olympic Games to billions of viewers around the world. For more information visit

Job Description
This position will have two main responsibilities:
• Assist in the writing and development of content (i.e. broadcast guides, operational manuals, training
materials, news articles, etc.), which will be published via the OBS internal and external websites.
• Develop, write and edit web pages using computer script languages (experience in both front and
back-end development).
Duties/Responsibilities
This position will coordinate with both the Web Specialist and Designer to guarantee that the structure
of the written material and website allow for user-friendly information distribution, and that the overall
visual look, including images, videos, and other digital media is maintained.
In addition, the successful candidate will also be responsible for various day to day activities which
will include, but not limited to:
• Planning and coordinating the production of graphic material including photography and
illustration
• Interfacing with various internal OBS departments to ensure that their department-specific
information is accurate and accessible
• Maintain company presence on several social networking platforms
• Assisting the Web Specialist in resolving website issues
Experience/Skills
The successful candidate should have:
• Expert knowledge of English (both written and verbal), including understanding of AP style
• Strong editorial skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and
Dreamweaver)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in managing social networking campaigns
• PHP5 OOP, PEAR, Design Patterns
• XML, SOAP, JSON
• HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery
