Project description
We propose to change the official logo of Fanta to make it more appealing to the older
age group Fanta intends to hit.
During the Olympic Games of 2016 new cans will be introduced, each featuring flags
from participating countries. The top rim and bottom of the can will feature one of the
olympic colors. A new “Olympack” (a fivepack), will be introduced as well, which will
illustrate the Olympic symbol when viewed from above. Furthermore, two new ideas will
be introduced on the can. Firstly, a “coolband” will be implemented into the design of
each can. This will illustrate the temperature of the soda in the respective can, making it
easier to find the cold Fantas quickly. Secondly, a QR- code will be implemented on the
bottom of the can. By scanning it, during the Olympic Games, it will showcase a fun fact
of the country represented on the can. Additionally the users will have a chance to win
the price of the day and automatically enter the price of the month. The prices will
change each day and month respectively and will appeal to the age group of 14-20 years
old. Following the end of the Olympics, the new and improved Fanta can, including the
“coolband”, QR- code and the more appropriate logo, will be reintroduced to the market.
