2015 BARRENJOEY PENINSULA WEEK OF GOLF – CONDITIONS
1.
Event Procedures
The Barrenjoey Peninsula Week of Golf will be played as follows:



Monday 9th & Tuesday 10th February 2015: Divisions 1 and 2 - 36 holes stroke play (18 holes each day), Division 3 – 36 hole
stableford (18 holes each day). 1st Tee time will be 7:30am
Thursday 12th February – 18-holes Foursomes stroke play (Division determined by lowest GA handicap, playing off ½
combined handicaps) Shotgun start 8:00am
Friday 13th February –18-holes Best Ball Teams V Par.(no divisions this year) Shotgun start 8:00am
Ties: All ties shall be determined using the Golf Australia Countback System
2.
Rules of Play
The Rules of Golf, as adopted by R&A Rules Limited, will apply, together with Golf NSW and any additional Local Rules as
drawn up by the Match Committee
3. Entries
3.1 GA Handicap: Eligible players are amateurs whose GA Handicap (or overseas equivalent) does not exceed 45.4 strokes at time
of entry. Should a players GA handicap on the day of play be above the handicap limit in their allocated division they will play
off the maximum GA handicap for that division throughout the duration of the event. Should a players GA handicap on the
day be below the handicap limited they will play off their current handicap for the duration of the event.
Note: Handicaps will not be adjusted until after completion of 36holes (Tuesday) which will enable current GA Handicaps to
be used for all players on Thursday and Friday.
3.2 Entry fees will only be refunded in the case of a withdrawal being advised before the closing date or after closing date prior
to the start of the tournament for medical reasons (a medical certificate must accompany a request for withdrawal on medical
grounds). All refunds will incur a $10 processing fee.
3.3 In the daily 18 hole event and the 36 hole Tournament a player may win only one major trophy.
3.4 Number of Divisions, Courses to be used, Programme and Handicap limits for each Division will be determined after close of
entries and determined by the number of entries. Player’s will be allocated to a division by the Match Committee based upon
their handicap at the time of the draw. In the event of a partner in the Foursomes Event being unable to compete, a
replacement on a similar handicap may be substituted. No additional fee is payable, provided an entry fee for that event has
been paid by the original player.
3.5 In the event of a dispute the Match Committee’s decision will be final

Motorised Transport
Motorised transport is permitted for all players without the need for a medical certificate. Cart bookings will not be available
until after the draw has been released. Barrenjoey Week of Golf takes no responsibility for the availability of golf carts.
5.
Registration
Competitors MUST register 30 mins before their starting time on each day of play.
6.
Pace of Play
Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. See the golf NSW hard card for Pace of Play conditions

Distance Measuring Devices
Distance measuring devices may be used with the specimen local rule on page 136 of the Rules of Golf 2012-2015 in place.
8.
Dress Regulations
All players will comply with the dress regulations of venue clubs
All players & caddies must adhere to commonly accepted standards of golfing etiquette and sportsmanship
9.
Mobile Phones
The use of mobile phones is not permitted on the course or during play except in the case of an emergency, it can be used
as GPS measuring device only
10. Trophies
10.1 Major Trophy presentation will be held on Thursday night at the Host Club (Cromer) from 6:00pm
10.2 Friday Team Event Trophies will be presented at each host club on completion of play after all score cards have been checked
and confirmed
