TODAY’S NEWS:
The Den has reopened for Math tutoring. Hours are Monday – Thursday before and after school. Students can go for homework, extra practice and quiz/test
corrections. The Den is located in room 1214.
Happy New Year! Saturday Credit Recovery/JIT Lab is January 10th!! This is your FIRST opportunity of 2015 to start the New Year out with a BANG! If you still
need to ‘REPAIR’ or ‘RECOVER’ credit for a first semester class, please consider attending Saturday for Success from 8:00am-12:00noon in room #1211. (Prior
approval is required from teacher and/or counselor before course is added.) Students – Please sign-up on the Student Advocate Portal under ‘Saturday School
JIT/CR Sign Up’ to reserve your computer.
Tickets for this year’s musical, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, go on sale this Monday, January 12th! Tickets are only $10 for all ages!
You won’t want to miss this classic 1960’s comedy!
Due to the possibility of bad weather this weekend, the Leander Tennis Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s has been postponed to Saturday, January 17. If you
have already purchased a ticket, your ticket will still be good on the 17th!
The Lady Lion track season is here! If you missed the meeting you need to see coach Heermans in room 2318 to receive paper work so you will be able to
work out on the first day of practice Monday the 12th!
If you are interested in running boys Track……..Boys Track will be meeting next Wednesday the 14th in the Athletic Team room at 4:15. Everyone who wants to
participate needs to attend the meeting. Again 4:15pm on Wednesday the 14th.
The Leander Lion Baseball team will be having tryouts starting Friday January 30 th. If you are not in an Athletic period and would like to try out for baseball
please see Coach Grissom in room 1118. There will be a parent meeting regarding tryout information next Tuesday January 13 th at 6pm in the commons.
Come enjoy the Movie under the Stars sponsored by the IB Students. There will be a showing of Monsters University from 6-8pm and Back to the Future from 911pm on Saturday, January 17th in the LHS Courtyard on the lawn. Families are welcome with a strongly suggested $5 donation to benefit the Hunger Project.
