TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is designed for ophthalmologists, optometrists, ophthalmology residents and allied
health professional.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The need for this conference was determined from examining the topics published in the recent
scientific literature. Participants in the course will be exposed to the most current concepts and
practical tips for clinical practice in the following areas of Cataract, Cornea, Glaucoma, NeuroOphthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Retinal Disease.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
As a result of attending the conference, participants will:









Be better able to recognize pediatric retinal disorders.
Be aware of the proper neuroimaging test to order.
Recognize the indications and prognosis for pediatric keratoplasty.
Be able to describe the proper techniques to stain, culture as well as biopsy the
cornea.
Review the risks of vision loss in glaucoma.
List the proper selection of an IOL for a particular patient.
Recognize the value of wide field retinal imaging techniques.
Understand the optimal surgical procedure for a wide array of corneal pathologies.
Diagnose and manage ARMD and diabetic retinopathy better.
