The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance and optimisation of the gold, lead
and zinc processing facilities, to ensure targets are met in a safe and efficient manner in line with the
Company’s policies and procedures.
The position will be based at the Hera Project in Nymagee, NSW on a 9/5 roster DIDO. Reporting to the
Processing Manager – Hera Project, the successful candidate will need to provide strong leadership and
mentoring skills overseeing a team of laboratory technicians.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:






Monitoring plant performance to ensure budgeted production performance targets are met and
exceeded
Help identify improvement opportunities to tonnes milled, gold produced, lead/ zinc concentrate
produced and plant recovery targets
Build strategic alliances both internally and externally to the Company to foster good interdepartment liaison
Provide leadership, mentoring and training to direct reports through Performance Management
Processes to ensure good levels of engagement, productivity and job satisfaction are maintained
Assist in the development of the Processing Department Business Plan and production of the
Processing Department Budget
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all reporting requirements within agreed timeframes
including the metallurgical accounting, and all statutory compliance is maintained
What you need for this role:





A Bachelor of Science/ Engineering in Metallurgy or equivalent Chemical Engineering degree
A minimum of five years’ experience in a mineral processing environment
Experience with gold process technologies, flotation technologies and associated equipment
Knowledge of metallurgical test, plant optimisation techniques and survey procedures
Strong interpersonal skills
