A $5 per animal late fee will apply. Cash only will be accepted the day of the show. Show Schedule Check- in: January 17, 2015 - 7a.m. – 9a.m. @ the Livestock Pavilion Show will start at approximately 11:30 a.m. Ring 1 Ring2___________ Cattle showmanship Sheep Showmanship Steers Goat showmanship Heifers Breeding Ewes Market Lambs Breeding Boar goats Show Rules The Rock Your Stock Youth Expo is open to any person under the age of 21. All exhibitors, under 18, must complete and sign the entry form along with a signature from a legal parent or guardian. All animals must have an official health certificate issued by a veterinarian at the time of check-in. Top 5 of each show will be placed. Cattle Show Classification Steers- Classes will be established by weight. Steers will be weighed in at time of check in. After all animals are weighed and checked in, the Jr. Board will establish classes. There will not be any breed divisions within the market steer show. Heifers- Classes will be established by weight. Heifers will be weighed in at time of check in. After all animals are weighed and checked in, the Jr. Board will establish classes. There will be two divisions of heifers, Brahman influenced and AOB. Classification of Brahman influenced dictates a minimum of 25% brahman in order to qualify. There will be a minimum of 10 heifers in each division to make separate shows; otherwise there will be a combined show. All heifers wishing to be shown must be under 30 months old. Sheep Show Rules Market Lambs- Market Lambs will be shown by weight. Lambs will be weighed in at the time of check-in. After all animals are weighed and checked in, the Jr. Board will establish classes. Ewes may be shown in the market lamb show. Please note that the market lamb show will not be broken into separate divisions. Breeding Ewes – Ewes will be shown by age. After all animals are checked in, the Jr. Board will establish classes. There will be three divisions, black face, white face, and all other breeds (AOB). There must be a minimum of 10 ewes in each division to make a separate show, otherwise divisions will be combined. Goat Show Rules Breeding Meat Goats – Goats will be shown by age. After all animals are checked in, the Jr. Board will establish classes. Showmanship Contest There will be a showmanship contest held for cattle, goats, and sheep. The showmanship contest is an additional $10.00 fee. The divisions are: Pee-Wee (7 and under), Junior (8 to 11), Intermediate (12 to 14), Senior (15 to 18), and Collegiate (19 to 21) as of September 1, 2014. Ethical Treatment of Animals All animals are expected to be treated in an ethical and humane way. Failure to do so may cause the exhibitor and animal(s) to be disqualified. Interpretation of the Rules The Jr. Livestock Board reserves the right to amend, add to, and interpret the above and following rules and regulations. The Central Florida Fair, its officers and employees cannot and will not accept responsibility and liability for any damage or injury resulting from theft, fire, the elements, accidents, or other conditions or causes, whether to exhibits, property of exhibitor, vehicles on the grounds and articles left therein, and any property of any nature whatsoever.
