Welcome to the 2013 Telethon
Ten lively hours of LIVE TV, showcasing local talent (singing, dancing and
more) and tantalizing auction items. This is a special time in Sudbury when we
all come together for a worthwhile cause – to help others in need.
This Guide contains everything you need to make the most of this year’s event:

Descriptions of the fabulous items and services up for auction. You will find
an index of items in the back of the guide or go to www.hopesudbury.org to
view all auction items, starting on Monday, October 21st.

A listing of all the wonderful performers appearing in the Telethon.

The rules for bidding. We recommend you BID EARLY and BID HIGH!
This year all bidding will take place ONLINE. That means you can bid from your
computer, smart phone or tablet. Place your bid anytime, anywhere…while you
are on the soccer field, dining out, waiting for an appointment or watching the
Telethon. Enhancements include:

The ability to check your bidding status online at any time.

Notifications when you have been outbid (so you can up your offer!)

Expanded bidding hours (while the Telethon begins at noon, online bidding
opens at 7 a.m. and ends at 9:45 p.m.).
Direct contributions to HOPEsudbury are welcome. You may mail a check to
P.O. Box 802, Sudbury, MA 01776 or donate online at www.hopesudbury.org.
About HOPEsudbury
Our organization emerged from the tragedy of September 11, 2001 to bring
hope and humanity to our community…to reassure our children that people are
really good at heart… and to demonstrate the value of working together. We
chose the “take lemons and make lemonade” approach. It’s a positive message
that suits Sudbury and one we hope we have modeled well over the years.
The bulk of the funds raised at the Telethon support The HOPE Fund, which
provides short-term financial assistance to local residents with emergency
need. Last year, $39,000 was given to 59 families who turned to the Fund for
support.
The Power of Community
