The role of the We Lead By Example, Inc., Advisory Board is to provide oversight of and advice to the president of the
nonprofit regarding its community outreach programs and associated activities for children and adults. These include providing
personal safety and security training through the physical, mental, and spiritual teachings of the martial arts, as well as
programs that will contribute to developing confidence, leadership skills, work ethics, and a strong academic foundation.

Kabeer K. Burns
Kabeer Burns is the co-founder of VIRSTA, LLC, a virtual assistance agency, and manages its day-to-day operations. He is also the assistant director of
Team Shahid, a charity formed by him and his siblings after the passing of their brother from the treatment of DSRCT, a rare form of sarcoma cancer.
Its goal is to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. Team Shahid participates in the Miami Marathon each year to raise
money for the Shahid A. Burns Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Team Shahid Cares Cancer Program.
Harry A. Jenifer
Harry A. Jenifer has worked at Doctors Community Hospital, a nonprofit community-based hospital located in the heart of Prince George’s County,
Maryland, for 25 years. He is a buyer, purchasing everything from office supplies to surgical equipment. Mr. Jenifer’s work also involves fundraising for
activities focused on the construction of new buildings and the procurement of equipment with up-to-date technology. One of his interests is in personal
safety through the study of martial arts.
Eloisa Martinez
Eloisa Martinez is a food service assistant at Bladensburg Elementary School in the Prince George’s County Public Schools System. A mother of three,
Mrs. Martinez has a keen interest in education and furthering organizations that have positive community programs (e.g., safety and bullying
prevention) that give children self-confidence and encourage them to have goals and to be willing to work hard to achieve them. Mrs. Martinez and her
two older children are longtime students of tae kwon do.
Edward Sanders, Jr.
Edward Sanders began his career as a commissioned officer in the Army Corp of Engineers. He has worked in the civilian sector as a technician and
construction manager for 30 years while employed by government agencies and consultant firms. Mr. Sanders has served as a construction manager for
highway and bridge construction, and for roadway and utility improvements. In this capacity, he has been involved in a wide range of disciplines, such
as technical testing and inspection, contract management, and litigation preparations. One of his interests is in personal safety through the study of
martial arts.
Yulanda D. Swindell
Yulanda D. Swindell, M.D., is president of the board of directors for The One World Center for Autism, Inc. She is a board certified pediatrician with
Potomac Physicians Associates in Catonsville, Maryland. She has expertise in adolescent medicine, and has spent many years providing care to children
with cognitive, emotional, psychiatric, and developmental challenges. A single parent of two children, one of whom is on the autism spectrum, Dr.
Swindell enjoys speaking publicly to educate and motivate individuals and families in the community to improve their quality of life. She is passionate
about curbing bullying and domestic violence, and one of her interests is in studying martial arts for personal safety.
