“To understand the caveman and now business attired man I searched through a wasteland of information,
stretching from the lost valleys of mythology to the overcrowded streets of contemporary mainstream media.”
Martinez, a senior Bachelor of Fine Arts
major with an emphasis in painting at
Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska
has not only been working on his senior
perspective art exhibit in the Lied Education
Center for the Arts for the past five months,
but for his entire life. The artwork that he
has contructed surrounding his theory of
the Alpha Male is a culmination of his
thoughts surrounding how prototypical
males interact and exist in modern
culture.
During the time that Martinez
was completing his show, he also
participated in many other activities,
making sleep a mere figment of the
imagination. Martinez organized the
5th Annual All-University Art
Exhibit in the Skutt Student Center,
which involves promoting, advertising, and hanging artwork, as well as
coordinating and attending committee meetings, which discuss art
related issues concerning the stu -
dent center.
providing people with their daily deliveries.
He also worked for the Meals on Wheels
program through Sodexho-Marriot, the food
service program on Creighton’s campus. It
is a program dedicated to serving food to
those who are unable to obtain the food
themselves for whatever reason. Every
morning from ten thirty to about one,
Martinez drives through North Omaha
Every once in a while Martinez managed to go on the occasional doughnut run
in the wee hours of the morning. He also
mustered up enough energy to go to a halloween gathering hosted by one of the
friends that he made on his summer trip to
Greece through Creighton.
All of his diligent work was recongnized on November 17, Martinez’s
exhibit, Alpha Male Behavior. His family, close friends, girlfriend, teachers
and fellow students were able to view
Martinez’s ideas and talents through
several spectacular works such as
“Downloading his Low Resolution” ,
“Army of Us” and “Logos: Serving
Billions Daily”
Now it’s time for Antonio to finally
take a nap.

pieces to Alethia Schlerich, another painter and stu dent at Creighton
