Though my home is India, God opened many doors in other nations for me to minister in
2007. My trip to Ivory Coast, West Africa was very successful. Many lives were touched as I
ministered the Word of God in four churches. During the week I taught in the Bible School
and it was power packed. As I taught 31/2 to 4 hours a day, the students enjoyed it just as
much as I did teaching.
Please continue to pray for me as I travel home to
India. I will be ministering to leaders, preaching in
churches, and holding evangelistic meetings. Pray
that many lives will be changed and God’s plan and purpose be fulfilled.
Together we are fulfilling the Great Commission!

When we finished Bible school, our instructions from the Lord were to go back to Alaska and
minister to the ONE. We were willing to go wherever He said. What was a shock was we were
instructed to minister to the one person, one trapper, one family. Through the years that is exactly
what we’ve done.
In the last few years, He has had us start a small store. Out of this business He has opened doors
for us to go into native villages delivering groceries to meet the needs of the people as most have no
stores. Richard also hauls people out for emergency medical treatment and hauls humanitarian aid
when needed.

On Sunday just before Thanksgiving Richard was out on his final delivery with
Thanksgiving items to his last 2 villages, when his engine quit and he had 5 seconds to set
the plane down. As you can see in the pictures, Richard should have gone on to Glory or at
least been seriously injured! NOT A SCRATCH OR BRUISE - Praise the Lord!
The village of Nikolai, where the accident occurred, offered to clear a path to get to the
airplane and haul it to the runway ramp area. They said, “You’ve helped so many people
in our village this is the least we can do for you!” A man our son knows gave us a C170
gearbox. This part alone costs thousands of dollars if you can find them!

Just the other day the new local pastor asked Richard if he’d go with him to a
village about 130 air miles from here for a Bible study.

Matthew 7:24-27 (NKJV) “Therefore whoever hears these
sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man
who built his house on the rock (Jesus): and the rain descended,
the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house;
and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone
who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be
like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain
descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that
house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who
will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince,
rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will
come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their
own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for
themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth
and be turned aside to fables But you be watchful in all things, endure
afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”
There is a lot of flakey stuff being pedaled today in the name of truth.
When you examine it closely, however, it is just a teaspoon of truth in
an ocean of error. Anytime you take scripture out of context, you end
up with a pretext (a reason for doing as you please).
You may ask, “What am I to do?” Do what the Bereans did. “They
received the message with great eagerness and examined the scripture
every day to see if what Paul said was true” (Acts 17:11 NIV). Whose
teachings were the Bereans putting under the search light of scripture?
Paul’s! No leader, regardless of the size of their following, is beyond
such scrutiny. Indeed, Godly leaders welcome it. Anytime someone
claims special revelation from God that doesn’t line up with scripture,
run the opposite direction! You may think that sounds a little harsh, but
a spiritual foundation built on the rock —Jesus, the Word of God— will
save your life!
This is nothing new, of course. The Apostle Paul had to deal with the
same issues approximately 2,000 years ago.
In II Timothy 3:1-9 (NKJV), Paul had to deal with perilous times and
perilous men:
“But know this, that in the last days of perilous times will come: For
men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving,
unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God, having form of godliness but denying its power. And from such
people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households
and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led
away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the
knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses,
so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved
concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly
will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.”
Does God have more to say to us? Absolutely! When we take our last
breath, we still will not know it all. And does God have better strategies
for reaching others with His word? Yes! And we must embrace them if
we are to reap the final harvest before the Lord of the harvest returns.
But never at the cost of God’s eternal, unchanging word!
In II Timothy 4:1-5 (NKJV) He had to deal with people who would not
endure sound doctrine:
Selah, pause and think about that!
That’s the message Paul was proclaiming in Acts 20:30-32, “Also from
among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw
away the disciples after themselves. Therefore watch, and remember
that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with
tears. So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His
grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among
all those who are sanctified.”

Pauline Mae Bagshaw passed over into the arms
of Jesus on Saturday morning, January 19,
2008, at the age of 83.
She often said that God had called her to the
mission field at an early age, but that she could
not go until her middle years.
Pauline will long be remembered by the many lepers and the mentally
retarded she loved to minister to over the years. Her eyes sparkled and she
had a big smile on her face as she ministered, sometimes under dangerous
conditions.
