General Information Before getting started Please read the following in order to understand the process of Course Registration: • • • A subject has at least one or more subject elements: Lectures, practices, or both in every semester when the subject is being taught. Departments and institutes have to announce their courses in the ETR every semester. A course has one or more course codes which indicate(s) the training program, subject and group number. Training program code: AOKA: English program, non-credit system AOK-KA: English Program, credit system AOK-KN: German Program, credit system FOG-KA: Dentistry Program, credit system GYTKKA: Pharmacy Program, credit system Subject code: individual Group code: from 1 to 8 Note that you have to sign up for those practical courses that have been announced for your group! Before you start registering for the new courses, please, check your grades for the earlier semesters! Certain courses can only be signed up for if a precondition (subject requirement) has been met or an earlier module has been completed. • Parallel precondition: Several subject elements have parallel subject elements. A lecture subject element has a parallel practice subject element. One has to attend these courses parallely, which means that both courses have to be completed in order to acquire the credit. Your course registration will only be complete if you signed up for both courses! Example: AOK-KA010 Anatomy, Histology and Embryology (subject) AOK-KA011 Anatomy, Histology and Embryology I.
