The floral department is selling 3-rose Valentine bouquets for $5.50 each. Please see Mrs. Breithaupt in the floral room or the
main office for more details. Bouquets will be delivered Thursday, February 12th.
FFA Valentine’s Day fundraiser – get a balloon, carnation and some fudge with a cute note all for $5 for that special someone
this year. Place your order and pay with Mrs. Peterson in the main office.
Operetta Auditions are Tuesday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 18 at 6pm in the Auditorium. Audition packets are
available in the office.
All softball players there will be practice Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14 on the varsity field at 3pm.
Are you currently a high school sophomore or junior (who will be 16 years of age by July 20, 2015) interested in learning what
the nursing field is all about? Do you want to know how to get into nursing school? Apply to participate in the University of
Washington, School of Nursing's Nurse Camp 2015! This FREE week-long day camp is geared toward increasing access and
opportunities in nursing to minority and low-income high school sophomores and juniors. Nurse Camp 2015 will take place
from July 20 - July 24, 2015. For more information see Ms. Sanders or go to http://nursing.uw.edu/about/how-apply to
apply. Application deadline is April 15th.
JUNIORS!!! HEADS-UP! Another scholarship opportunity JUST FOR JUNIORS! Nordstrom is offering a $10,000
scholarship to high school juniors who plan to attend college after graduation, have participated in community and/or
extracurricular activities and who have a minimum GPA of 2.75. Application instructions are available in the scholarship file in
the Career Center. Online application at https://nordstrom.scholarsapply.org
CALLING ALL JUNIORS! If you are planning to attend college after graduation and have shown a strong commitment
toward academic studies and school/community involvement, you are invited to apply for a Hamilton Award. This is a $500
cash award and a program designed to help juniors with college application and financial aid assistance - as well as an
opportunity to attend the Hamilton Leaders Academy in Seattle and Central America! See Ms. Sanders for application
instructions. Hurry! Application deadline is March 4, 2015.
Are you age 13 – 18? Have you performed volunteer service hours during the past 12 months? If so, you could be nominated
to win up to $10,000 in scholarships from the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. See Ms. Sanders in the Career Center for

Sophomores and Juniors: Peninsula College is offering a Running Start informational meeting at their main campus on
February 18th. They will have a campus tour starting at 6:30 pm and the presentation and panel discussion will begin at 7:00
pm. Please come by the counseling office if you would like a flyer.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED! The Sequim Soroptimist are looking for volunteers to help with their annual Garden Show on Saturday and
Sunday – March 21st & 22nd. You will earn community service hours and a certificate for your scholarship notebook! See Ms. Sanders in

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation awards scholarships up to $40,000 per year to high-achieving low-income seniors. If you have a
cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and demonstrate financial need, visit the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation website for guidelines
