University of Tennessee
UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSE, KNOXVILLE
TRANSFER REQUIRMENTS
Nursing (BSN)
Students completing the courses will meet the general education requirements for UTK Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Completion of these courses does NOT result
in a degree from PSCC. Additional courses may be required; see your PSCC advisor for more information. Completion of the courses does not guarantee admission
into UTK’s Nursing Program. Students must apply and be accepted BOTH to the University and to the UTK College of Nursing. Students should check with the
University and the UTK College of Nursing to determine application deadlines. Acceptance is substantially improved by a high GPA and other factors. Students who
have completed most of the science and math courses with excellent grades are given priority. Preference is given to students who have been admitted to UTK
College of Nursing as freshman. Admission is HIGHLY competitive. Note that course and admission requirements may change. It is the student’s responsibility to
check with the UTK College of Nursing at UTK to verify that all courses will transfer and are acceptable. This is especially true if the courses were taken at other
colleges or universities. See the UTK Catalog for more information on admission requirements for the University and for the College of Nursing.


PHIL 2010 and ANT 1200 meet UT’s Cultural and Civilizations requirement, but do not meet PSCC’s History requirement. To fulfill the PSCC history
requirement, students must complete a series of either HIST 1010/1020 or 1110/1120.
This check list is not intended to replace your advisor. See a pre-nursing advisor in the PSCC Pre-nursing Advising Center in Goins for assistance in planning
your coursework!
