MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS






Grade 12/senior certificate or equivalent
An appropriate B Degree/Diploma in General Nursing and Midwife or equitant
qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a professional nurse plus
Minimum of 9 appropriate /recognisable experience Nursing experience after
registration as professional Nurse with SNANC in General
At least 5year of period referred to above must be appropriate / recognisable
experience after obtaining the 1- year post –basic qualification in Clinical Health
assessment, treatment and care accredited with the SANC
Proof of registration with SANC as General Nurse, Midwife and primary health
care nurse
Certificate of cervice signed by HR Manager must be attached
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED









Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedure
Knowledge of nursing Act, Occupational health and safe Act
Display a concern for patient, promoting and advocating proper treatment
Sound understanding of legislations and related ethical nursing practices within a
primary health care environment
Report writing skill
Knowledge of TB control. HIV/AID Management and ARV
Conflict Management
Interpersonal and team building skills
Communication skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS













Provide a comprehensive range of services according to PHC core package.
Provide effective and professional leadership by ensuring that the unit is
organized to provide quality Nursing Care.
Manage and direct resources to improve service delivery by holding the principle
of Batho Pele and standards set by the accreditation process.
Evaluate patient care programs and initiate plans for improvement that are
supported by strong work ethics.
Provide safe therapeutics environment that allows for practice of safe nursing
care as laid down by Nursing act, Occupational and safety act
Direct resource mobilization and ensure the optimal use thereof
To utilize information and other management information systems to
management information systems to manage nursing information to for the
enhancement of service
Manage and evaluate performance standards ensuring that responsibilities are
adhered to within the budget limit
Assist with the management of the transformation process and within the clinic to
ensure that the object of the institution are met
Preform multi skilled and complex procedures
Organize and plan for in-service education for unit staff
Encourage and motivate Human Resource and self-development for the team
Ensure that national core standards are implemented
