MINIMUM POST REQUIREMENTS:
GRADE 1
・ Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
・ Degree /Diploma in General nursing plus 1 year post basic qualification in Operating Theatre
Nursing Science.
・ Proof of Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
・ Current SANC (2014) receipt.
・ A minimum of four (4) years appropriate / recognizable experience after registration
as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
・Proof of working experience endorsed by Human Resource Manager.
GRADE 2
・ Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
・ Degree /Diploma in General nursing plus 1 year post basic qualification in Operating Theatre
Nursing Science.
・ Proof of Registration with SANC as a registered.
・ Current SANC (2014) receipt.
・ A minimum of fourteen (14) years appropriate / recognizable experience after registration
as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
・ At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate /recognizable experience
in the specific specialty after obtaining 1 year post basic qualification in the relevant specialty
・Proof of working experience endorsed by Human Resource Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
・ Knowledge and experience of public service policies and regulations
・ Sound management negotiations skills
・ Knowledge of Labour Relations, Human Resource and financial management skills.
・ Clinical competencies, report writing and time management skills.
・ Knowledge of nursing care delivery approaches.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
・ Provide quality comprehensive quality nursing care as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
according to the identified needs of the patient based on the scientific principles.
・ Motivate staff regarding development in order to increase level of expertise and assist patients
and families to develop a sense of self care.
・ Ensuring proper utilization and safekeeping basic medical equipment
・ Encourage research by assisting in regional and departmental project always making sure that
the community needs are taken into account.
・ Ensure Batho Pele principles are implemented.
・ Motivate staff regarding development in order to increase level of expertise and assist
Patients and families to develop a sense of self care.
・ Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care including
Awareness and willingness to respond to patient’s needs, requirement and expectations 
