Applications are invited by the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education
and Research, Puducherry-605 006 from eligible candidates for the following posts on
Contractual Basis initially for a period of six months in respect of faculty posts and three
months in respect of other technical supporting staff:1. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY – 1 post
Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years as on closing date.
Essential Qualification:
1. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to
the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part
II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.
2. A Postgraduate qualification, D.M in Clinical Immunology.
Experience:
Three years teaching experience in the Immunology in a recognized Medical College as
Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.
Note: Postgraduate degree i.e. DM possessed by the candidate must be recognized by the
Medical Council of India (MCI).
Salary: Rs. 95,000/- per month (Consolidated)
2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF NEONATOLOGY – 1 post
Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years as on closing date.
Essential Qualification:
1. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to

3. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MEDICAL BIOMETRICS (BIOSTATISTICS) – 2 posts
Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years as on closing date..
Essential Qualification:
1. Post Graduate Qualifications, eg; Master’s Degree in the Discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics)
or allied subjects.

2. A Doctorate (Ph. D) Degree from a recognized University/institute in the Discipline
(Biostatistics/Statistics) or allied subjects.
Experience:
3 years’ teaching and/or research experience in the discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics) or
subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate Degree.
Salary: Rs. 95,000/- per month (Consolidated)
4. LECTURER (COLLEGE OF NURSING) – 5 post (1 each in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Nursing , Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing
& Mental Health Nursing)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date.
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Nursing from a recognized University or equivalent from the respective
discipline.
Experience:
Should possess 3 years teaching experience after obtaining M. Sc Nursing from the respective
discipline.
Desirable:
A doctoral degree in the discipline of a recognized University
Salary: Rs. 37,500/- per month (Consolidated)
5. LECTURER-CUM- SENIOR BIOSTATISTICIAN – 1 post
Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date..
Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate Qualifications, eg; Master’s Degree in the Discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics) or
allied subjects.
Experience:
Five years’ Research / teaching experience in Statistics/Biostatistics in universities / research
institutes.
Desirable:
A doctoral degree in the discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics) of a recognized University
Salary: Rs. 60,000/- per month (Consolidated)
6. BIOSTATISTICIAN – 1 post
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date.
Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate Qualifications, eg; Master’s Degree in the Discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics) or
allied subjects.
Experience:
Three years’ Research/Teaching experience in Statistics / Biostatistics in universities /
research institute
Desirable:
A doctoral degree in the discipline of a recognized University

7. STATISTICAL ASSISTANT – 1 post
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on closing date.
Essential Qualification:
Post Graduate Qualifications, eg; Master’s Degree in the Discipline (Biostatistics/Statistics) or
allied subjects.
Desirable:
1. Three years experience in handling Statistical package
2. Diploma in Computer Application
Salary: Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated)

INSTRUCTIONS:

2. Application along with attested copies of certificates as stated above should be
submitted in the prescribed Pro-forma (Annexure) as in the specimen given below. It
should be neatly typed / hand written on A4 size paper.
3. This Institute is not responsible for any postal delay.
4. The Call memo will be sent only to Eligible candidates. No intimation will be sent
for late applications and also for ineligible applications.
5. Incomplete application i.e. applications not enclosing all or any of the copies of the
required certificates / application received after due date mentioned below will be
rejected without any intimation.
6. Unsigned application and Photograph not affixed in application will be rejected
summarily.
