Strong Aboriginal Men’s
Program. He was the
senior Aboriginal
counsellor with Link-Up
NSW specialising in
supporting stolen
generation clients with
alcohol and other drug
issues, trauma, grief and
loss, dual diagnosis and
mental health issues. In
2011 Ivan commenced
working as the State
Wide Educator for the
Education Centre Against
Violence.

A Workshop for Non-Aboriginal Workers who have limited knowledge
or experience working with the Aboriginal Communities
The First Australians have a rich culture of family, kinship, nations
and protocols that have endured and still thrives today.
In this workshop we will look at key historical events and how they
have impacted on Aboriginal families, children and communities in the
past and into the present, as well as practical strategies for working
with Aboriginal children, families, communities and peers.
