PROGRAMME
On Wednesday February 10 Mare Forum, and in cooperation with the Indonesian
National Shipowners’ Association, will again bring together Indonesia’s maritime leaders
and mix them with forward looking global investors, operators, CEOs from shipping,
trading and brokerage companies, bankers, consultants and entrepreneurs, classification
societies, financial institutions, regulators and the media in a freewheeling debate on the
growth of Indonesian shipping, national and foreign investments and its impact on the
offshore sector on a regional and global scale.
Indonesia is the largest growing economy in Southeast Asia and with Asia widely
expected to contribute about 50% of the global growth over the next years, Indonesia’s
changing trade and investment flows are in the process of adapting to new partners in
the region. Together with the growth of Indonesian’s sea transport sector and consistent
implementation of policy by the government, the Indonesian shipping industry is moving
forward to exciting and promising prospects.
The central theme of the conference is “Building a Maritime Power – Transformation to a
Maritime Nation and Looking Ahead”. The conference will examine the Indonesian
dynamics of today and by focusing on 2025 explore how Indonesia will look like in the
next 10 years and beyond.
The Mare Forum Indonesia 2015 will be a place to learn, a chance to network and an
opportunity to build serious business in a strong, ambitious emerging economy. Add in
good food, good company and a great location, blend with Mare Forum’s proven formula
for getting the best out of everyone attending.
The six previous Mare Forum Maritime Indonesia forums have been bristling with ideas
and dynamic debate. A very high level audience appreciates and makes the most of the
dynamic format and honest debate.
High level speakers, session chairmen, conference panelists and audience will contribute
to a day packed with knowledge transfer, exchange of visions, experience and
stimulating discussions. The openly approach of this type of Mare Forum conferences
produces a wonderful environment for brainstorming, sharing and improving
knowledge and intelligence.
Come and enjoy the country, enjoy the company and enjoy getting a place at the table as
Indonesia grows.
We look forward to welcoming you in Jakarta
