Monday, March 9, Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. This concert drama, which includes a full performance of the Verdi Requiem, tells the story of the courageous Jewish prisoners in the Theresienstadt concentration camp who performed the famous Verdi Requiem while experiencing the depths of human degradation. This performance will benefit the UJA-Federation Community Initiative for Holocaust Survivors which provides aid to vulnerable elderly Holocaust survivors in the New York area. CSAIR will be listed as a Community Sponsor if our congregants purchase at least $1,800 worth of tickets directly from the Lincoln Center box office. Honeymoon Israel provides highly subsidized, 9-day trips to Israel for groups of couples from the same city. Couples must have at least one Jewish partner, be ages 25-40 and be within the first 5 years of their committed relationship. Honeymoon Israel is an inclusive program – for Jewish-Jewish, interfaith and LGBTQ couples. The total cost for participating couples is $1,500 including all flights and ground costs.
