As elections for the European Parliament indicated, extreme parties are on the rise both in western and eastern Europe. Though much is different, the inevitable question is whether democratic values are under siege as they were in the ‘30s. And what does it all mean for the Jews of Europe? Seventy years after the Holocaust, do Jews have a future in Europe? What will determine whether or not Jewish life in Europe is sustainable?
