APPLICATION DEADLINES AND FEE PAYMENTS
New for the 2015 Off Schools. Please read carefully.
Skaters will be admitted to the off season school as follows:
1. One family only per envelope.
2. Applications for Spring & Fall must be received no later than March 06, 2015.
3. Avalon Region Skaters in priority of date received up to & including March 06, 2015
(note applications will be considered as of date received not date on post mark.)
4. Incomplete applications will not be considered until completed.
5. Late applications based on date received and are subject to a $50.00 late payment fee.
6. Applications must be mailed to the mailing address on Page 4.
7. Skaters applying for both schools will be considered received before skaters applying for only one school when
applications have been received up to & including March 06, 2015.
8. Applications will be accepted only if accompanied by adequate payment see payment schedule Page 3.
9. Please ensure that Skaters First & Last Name is written on the memo line of the cheque/money order.
10. Skaters moved to a higher category for Spring will be considered for the original category for Fall School until
all applications have been processed by the administrator.

Requests for refunds must be directed to the Avalon Region Director, & Avalon Region Treasurer

No refunds will be issued after March 31,2015 for spring and August 14, 2015 for Fall, except for
medical reasons.
All refunds are subject to an administration fee of 50% of fees paid or $50, whichever is less.
NSF /Returned Cheques Policy
 1st NSF / Returned cheque-subject any associated bank charges.


2nd NSF /Returned cheque- subject to a $20.00 administration fee PLUS any associated bank charges.
Plus cheques will not be accepted for a period of 1 year. Money orders only will be accepted.

Skater Classifications
Pre-Junior: Stages 4, 5, 6 and 7
Junior: Stage 7 or competing pre-preliminary or preliminary. Only 4 skaters or less in group lessons on
Junior sessions. Junior skaters are only permitted to register for one free skate session per day.
Intermediate: Must have passed Junior Bronze free skate test or Senior Bronze free skate test.
Intermediate skaters are only permitted to register for one free skate session per day.
Senior: Must have passed complete Junior Silver free skate test.
Borderline students: After registration a coach may request to move either up or down if necessary
and if space available. Half tests will be considered next.

Skaters may be moved by Administrator (Kevin Walsh) to accommodate spaces on sessions not full after
start of school.
Note: All skaters must arrange lessons with a coach of their choice. Coaches must sign application.

All coaches required to sign skater’s applications.
All coaches required to coach 4 stroking sessions in each school or pay Avalon Region SCNL
$34.00 for spring and $24.00 for fall.
Any coaches working with 3 or less skaters are not required to teach stroking or pay a fee. Please notify
Kevin Walsh of your status if coaching 3 or less skaters.
All coaches please notify Kevin Walsh of dance tests and lessons required. This is dance
partnering and not a lesson on the dance. All tests must be ready when dance partner arrives.
Skaters
Please check with your coach for booking times and lessons.
All money for guest dance partner payable by cheque before test is tried. Make cheques/money orders
payable to Avalon Region SCNL.
