B O N I T A K I W A N I S Rambling Rhetoric Volume XXXVIVI Issue 229 Feb. 12, 2015 Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. This Rhetoric is made possible through the generosity of our partner, Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary Last week was kind of our club’s swan song with relation to our meeting at Bonita Golf Course. Do not have to leave immediately, but we have been given notice. It was a good way to go out with some 63 people showing up for the meeting. We had Optimists, Key Clubs , K Kids, YMCA, and Kiwanis Interclubs. Quite a showing! Thanks to everyone for joining us. We are looking for new places to meet. Stay posted! Hopefully, I said something good! It is the 47th anniversary of the capture of the USS Pueblo and it still sits like it happened yesterday. Richard DeRosset had painted a new painting of the ship and our capture, for one of the crew members, and we were able to introduce it at the meeting. It has now been sent off to the new owner. We had a buffet breakfast and the food was wonderful. Thanks for all the support from the club for this endeavor. It was a last minute, awkward, expensive, humbling swan song endeavor for us, but just Great! Now-on to the Chili Cook-Off!
