ABOUT PROJECT COMPETITION
Since Academic year 2011-12, MSBTE is
organizing final year project competition at all
its four regions separately with the following
objectives
 To enhance the quality of project and to
promote the Talent.
 To provide opportunities to the students
& faculty for innovations.
 To promote patents.
RULES AND REGULATIONS







Only final year 2014-15, Diploma
students are eligible for the project
competition.
The project/model should be in working
condition.
All student exhibiting a particular
project/model should belong to the same
institution & maximum of five
participants per group and only one
group per college/shift is allowed.
Students must bring their valid college ID
Cards.
Decision given by judges in all the
matters will be final and binding to all the
participants.
Participants should bring copy of the
project reports while coming to the
competition.
Certificate of participation will be
awarded by organizing institute
FACILITY:
Accommodation facility will be provided to
outstation participant only for one day. Pick
up and drop facility will be provided.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Assessment shall be done on the basis of
performance indicator as mentioned
below:

 Best use of Available resource and

 User friendly
 Ingenuity & innovativeness.

project

Project group securing maximum marks above
70% will be declared as Winner.
Project group securing maximum marks with at
least 50%will be declared as Runner.







PROMOTING PATENTS
So far 34 patents published on
Student’s projects.
MSBTE will reimburse entire
processing fees for the patent
obtained by student/Faculty by
affiliated institution.
Patents should essentially be based
on project prepared by Diploma/
Polytechnic students.
Patent should be filled jointly by
patentee (student/Faculty), parent

ABOUT MSBTE
MSBTE Mumbai is an autonomous board of
Government of Maharashtra. MSBTE Design and
develop the curricular of Diploma, Post Diploma
and Advanced Diploma Programs. Conduct
academic monitoring of the affiliated institutions,
through
Curriculum
Implementation
and
Assessment Norms (CIAAN). Organize Faculty
Development Training Programs e.g. content
updating trainings, soft skills trainings, industrial
trainings and management trainings, hands on
skills trainings for polytechnic teachers. Conduct
examinations, declare results and award
certificates. Felicitate the State level rank holders
and award certificates of Merit. Develop Lab
Manuals, CAI Packages, Text books and other
Learning resource packages for effective teaching
learning process. Undertake controlled academic
autonomy projects of the Polytechnics outside
Maharashtra State. Undertake external projects,
consultancy and other assignments related to
examination system and technical education.
Organize Career Fairs to promote technical
education especially in remote places. Organize
MSBTE State level technical competitions e.g.
Students Paper Presentation, Technical Quiz etc
ABOUT INSTITUTE
Shri Datta Meghe Polytechnic was established in
1983 under Meghe group of Institutions. Institute
is located at Wanadongri hill, Hingna MIDC,
Nagpur and is well connected by bus and train.
The institute runs diploma courses in Civil Engg,
Chemical Engg, Computer Tech., Electronics
Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg and
Mechanical Engg. It is the first polytechnic in
Vidarbha region with all branches accredited by
National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The institute provides the challenging educational
environment in which all members of culturally
and geographically diverse community can
realize their potential.
