A Diabetes Busters support group
will meet at St. Mary’s Healthcare

host Express Yourself: “Valentine’s

Square Dance Saturday will be held
at the ED Center aka “The Church,”
31 Spring St. No experience is necessary. Singles and couples are welcome. From noon to 1 p.m. there will
be free open dance lessons for new
dancers, and from 2 to 4 p.m. there
will be Mainstream and Plus with
Round Dancing for $6. Theme for this
event is “There’s Love in

TOWN OF FLORIDA
The Ag. 2000 Livestock Group of
Fonda will hold a lasagna dinner
fundraiser from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the
Florida Town Hall, 167 Fort Hunter
Road. The cost is $8 for adults, $4.50
for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 6. Dinner includes lasagna,
salad, Italian bread, homemade
desserts, ice cream and beverage.

discussion of “Orphan Train” facilitated by Judith Prest at 1 p.m. at the
Amsterdam Free Library, Church
Street. Local historian Bob Cudmore
will tell a history story regarding a former Amsterdam orphanage, the
Children’s Home.

The Great Sacandaga Lake
Business Association will host winter
fireworks at Sport Island Pub at dusk.

BROADALBIN
The First Presbyterian Church, 54
W. Main St., will hold a Shrove
Tuesday pancake dinner at 6 p.m.
There is no charge, but a free will
offering will be accepted. Proceeds
will benefit Peaceful Acres Horses,
Inc., a sanctuary for horses and people in Pattersonville. The supper will
include homemade pancakes with
syrup and other toppings, bacon,
sausage and beverages.

state contracts for services and products, and Shannon Kline of Main
Motor Car in Johnstown, who will tell
success stories of selling 400 automobiles and trucks to state departments the last four years. The event
is free for members and their employees. Bring a lunch; beverages will be
