Newsletter 05/2015 19 February 2015 Dear Parents, Guardians and Learners It is my privilege to address you in this newsletter as the newly appointed Deputy Principal. During my short time in this position, I have seen how the vision of Rand Park High School - to be one of the leading high schools in the country - is being put into action. The choices being made in the face of difficulties, challenges and opportunities by both the staff and learners alike are testament to our values of integrity and commitment. We have already passed the halfway mark in the first term and have embraced our opportunities, faced our challenges and grown in character. We are definitely a few steps closer to achieving the vision of our school. Fist pump greetings! R COERTZEN DEPUTY PRINCIPAL/DEAN OF SPORT We had the privilege, at our annual Prize Giving ceremony held last week, to honour many of our learners for their academic achievements as well as their general participation in all that is to offer at the school. It was heart-warming to see the learners beaming with pride as they were presented with their awards. Pride stems from passion and there is no point in going anywhere if you don’t go with all your heart. On Tuesday evening this week, we hosted our annual Grade 7 Select Evening for the topperforming learners from our key feeder Primary Schools. We showcased all that Rand Park High has to offer and it was an awesome feeling to present what our school is all about with a great sense of integrity and satisfaction. What a privilege to be part of this. In this week’s newsletter… Announcements and News ...…………...... Page 2 Sports News and Results ………..………..
