STUDENT NEWS
SundayNights@TheYouthHouse!
February 22, we’ll have “Normal”
youth group in the youth house. We’ll
gather from 5:30-7:00 p.m., starting off
with a dinner all together, then moving
into music, games, and a lesson. This is
the “center” of our youth ministry and a
great opportunity for our youth to fellowship, grow, and have fun.
Youth Bible Nerds
You’re invited! During the Sunday
school hour in the youth house, Kelley
Jr. and Steven are leading a 6-week
study. We began February 1 and will
go through March 8. Learn basic and
important information about our Bible.
Discuss broader issues of interpretation.
Help raise money for a chosen charity
through our commitment and
knowledge. All our youth are invited!
Winter Banquet
It’s Tacky Prom Night! The whole
family is invited to the Youth Winter
Banquet on Sunday, March 1, in the
Great Hall from 6:15-7:45 p.m. We’ll
eat dinner, play a game, and have entertainment provided by our amazing
youth group! It’s a fun time that
should not be missed!
First Wednesday!
On the first Wednesday of each month,
we’ll meet at a church family member’s
house from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for food,
hanging out, and a short devotion. We
believe First Wednesdays will be a great
opportunity for our youth to gather, have
a fun and meaningful time together in
the middle of the week while adding a
touch of personal hospitality! Our next
First Wednesday is March 4 and will be
hosted by Latisha Charleston at the
home of Marty and Lisa Cobb. Contact
Steven for more info.
HONDURAS 2015
Northminster first traveled to
Honduras nearly twenty years ago.
Across the past two decades, we have
returned many times; embodying the
love of God in one of the poorest corners of the nation of Honduras.
Our 2015 opportunity to serve in
Honduras will be the week of July 23
-30. Check your summer 2015 calendar, circle that week, and watch for
more details!

"A Lenten Journey: 2015"
~ a gift to Northminster from the Worship and Music Committee ~
"A Lenten Journey: 2015" provides a guide for personal and family worship
during the season of Lent. These devotional booklets consist of creative writings, personal reflections, and Northminster moments, written and gathered by 16 members of the Committee. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, the guides will be
placed in hallways, Sunday School areas, and gathering places around our
church. Please take as many as needed for yourselves and for friends and family. It
is our hope that these expressions will add to the meaningfulness and importance
of each of our Lenten journeys.
A Lenten Offering: A Picnic of Words
