MONDAY 3/9/15
The Senior Senate will meet Wednesday at 1 st lunch in room 406.
Any senior going on the Disney trip who is in danger of failing a required course for graduation must attend a
study hall in room 401 on Tuesday, March 17 from 9 – 11:30 a.m. Attendance is required to participate in the
trip.
Students interested in running for student council office must attend the candidate meeting Wednesday
morning at 7:00 in Guidance. Any candidate not attending this meeting will be ineligible to run for office.
Mu Alpha Theta members attending the convention must have their permission slip and remaining balance
turned in by Monday, March 23. Permission slips are posted on Mrs. Ball’s website.
The Guardian program will meet Wednesday during lunch. First lunch in room 306; second lunch room 101.
Bring your lunch and your ideas.
Current NHS seniors who need to purchase a stole must do so by the next meeting, March 19.
Any current NHS members interested in running for an officer for next school year, must submit the
application by the next meeting. Forms are on Mrs. Chausse’s (Show-Say) teacher web.
Students 14 or older who are interested in the New Orleans Touro’s Junior Volunteer Program, please me Ms.
Howard in guidance. The application deadline is Monday, March 30.
The next Ethnic Food and Culture Club will meet Thursday during both lunches. We will not meet Tuesday due
to testing. The country is India. Please check TeacherWeb for your assignments. Mrs. Polley can provide any
Indian spices necessary for your dish.
The MHS Reading Club will meet Thurs after school in the library instead of Friday.
Political Thinkers will meet Tuesday afterschool in Mrs. Sidlovsky’s room 409. We will be discussing upcoming
elections.
Juniors: The Rotary Youth Leadership program is accepting applications. The award is all expense paid six
day leadership program Applications are available in guidance and are due by March 19 th.

parking lot near the Science building. The bus will leave promptly at 6:00 am. Practices

so wear a ‘green’ shirt.

Tryouts for the 2015-2016 Spinnaker Dance team are March 25th - 27th. A tryout clinic for
aspiring dancers in grades 8-11 to learn required skills will be held Saturday, March 7th from 9-12
in the gym. The cost for the clinic is $10. Tryout packets and clinic flyers are available at
Student Services, or from Mrs. Driscoll in room 308 and Mrs. Duke in room 310.
Skipper Buddies will have their picture taken for the yearbook Wednesday morning in the
gym. Every member should be there! We'll have donuts!
The Historical Film Society will be watching Ghostbusters tonight in room 411. All are
welcome.
