Spiritual
• Please make sure to take a copy of April service schedule that will include Passion Week
service details.
• Next Friday is lent last Friday when we pray the general Unction.
New Immigration Law information session
• Today 11:45 am (after the Arabic Liturgy), there will be an information session in the
church of St. Athanasius about the recent updates to the Canadian Citizen Act by MP Lizon
& MP Costas Menegakis (Parliamentary Secretary) . There will be an opportunity for discussion and questions.
Summer Trips:
The church is organizing 3 trips. Details and contact person on the church website
• Trip to Jerusalem (after Easter ) Contact Mr. Farid Kamel
• Trip to Russia (June 1-13). Contact Mervat Ibrahim
• Trip to Europe (Jul 13-28). Registration deadline Apr 1st . Contact: Olga Kamel
Texas Monastery Trip
• Jun 25 - Jul 2nd. Only few spots available. Open to high school youth and older. Registration forms must be completed through www.texasyouthtrip.com.
Newcomers’ office
• ESL classes starting Wednesday Apr 15th
o 6:60 pm for newcomers
o7:30 pm for beginners and seniors
• ESL classes for Intermediate will be on Mondays 6:30 pm
New Curriculum re. Sex ed.
- An email has been sent to all congregation highlighting the actions suggested.
- We want all community to be engaged even if you do not have kids in young age as this is affecting all future generation.
- Please feel free to forward this email to whomever is interested.
Main highlights:
- Protest on April 14th 10 AM queen’s park
- In the email you will find a proposal that we will send to the government on the 27th of March

- We are developing a curriculum by the church to educate the parents and Sunday school teachers on sexual education questions
- Please send the letters to the MP, MPPs and school boards as they make a difference.
