Discuss programme and badges for the term. Dodge ball. Map reading and compass work for Hiker badge 10km hike in the area around Fleet Pond to map and measure a route for a fundraising event. Start 10am, end 12.30pm Kite making using a kit, or bring your own Fleet Station car park Scout HQ Nil Thu 14 May Night hike Start at the Barley Mow pub, Winchfield at 7.30pm Barley Mow Ben O’Connor Thu 21 May Hill walker Map and compass work Scout HQ Mattie and Matthew Thu 28 May No meeting as it is Half Term Fri 5 Jun Sat 6 Jun Adventure Personal Challenge Team Leader Challenge Nights Away Paddle boarding or sit-on canoeing 6.30pm to 8pm; with Hercules Hornet Pack may welcome some scout support at the EH Fete Horseshoe Lake Josh and Ben Shead EH Village Centre Nil One hour session with PLs and APLs only Scout HQ Nil Group Camp with a range of activities for all scouts to enjoy. Runways End Air activities Visit by a parachutist. Put on harness and demonstrate the correct way to roll. Describe air flow around a square parachute Visit FAST to research kites, parachutes and parafoils Softball against Hercules troop and Troop Forum to identify what should be done next term Battlefront laser combat. There will be a contribution to pay by scouts. A minibus may be available for some scouts Joint activity with Hercules – ice skating tbc? If there are insufficient leaders and adults at a meeting then the meeting will have to be cancelled.
