THE OFFERING OF TITHES AND GIFTS
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God,
in raising Jesus from the grave,
you shattered the power of sin and death.
We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear,
bound by the ways that lead to death.
We overlook the poor and the hungry
and pass by those who mourn;
we are deaf to the cries of the oppressed
and indifferent to calls for peace;
we despise the weak and abuse the earth you made.
Forgive us, God of mercy.
Please use this time of silence for personal prayers of confession.
Gracious God,
help us to trust your power
to change our lives and make us new,
that we may know the joy of life abundant
given in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord. Amen.

Sanctuary Sundays (April 12 to May 3 or 10), 10:45-11:45 am
What do we really know about the Native American
people who inhabited this land before us?
What has the relationship between the
Reformed Church and Native peoples been like?
What are we called to in relation to these neighbors
(including those very nearby)?
The April Mission of the Month
Bread for the World
The Mission offering for April is for Bread for the World,
a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision
makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Policies are
made that redirect millions of dollars and affect millions
of lives. By making our voices heard in Congress, we
make our nation’s laws more fair and compassionate to
people in need.
American Reformed Church supports
financially and in prayer
missionaries serving around the world.
