2015 Sponsorship Opportunities June 5-7, 2015 St. Edward’s University It’s that time of year again…an opportunity to come together, make an impact, and hack for change! On June 6, 2015, thousands of people from across the United States will come together for the National Day of Civic Hacking - Austin is one of 42 sites participating in this event. The City of Austin, St. Edward’s University, Open Austin, and Texans for Economic Progress are excited to host the third annual ATX Hack for Change. Last year’s event brought nearly 200 civic and social innovators together to create two dozen social good and civic applications that continue to provide value to Austinites. One project from the 2013 hackathon, Keep Austin Fed, was nationally recognized as a Champion of Change by the White House. These events are gaining in popularity and recognition. This year, we're still focused on tackling social and civic problems, but we’re “hacking the hackathon” by attempting to attract both traditional and non-traditional hackers. Projects require both superhero technical expertise and other talents not typically associated with hackathons (i.e., policy, business, art, communications). Austin has a huge pool of talent to call upon for the greater good - join us in expanding the impact and reach of this year’s ATX Hack for Change! API Sponsorship We aim to provide hackers with a playground of web tools and development options to meet the goals of each project. This requires a diverse collection of APIs and product expertise. This event provides a unique opportunity to get your API in front of potential super-users, expand your customer base, and increase existing brand loyalty. In addition to the chance to see your product utilized in a headline-making social good project, API Sponsors will enjoy the opportunity to provide a tech presentation/demo on Saturday morning. Encouraged: Unlimited technical and customer support attendees. As participation is a requirement of the API Sponsorship level, we are open to proposals of other forms of sponsorship (free trial accounts, unlimited API connector access, or similar) to be made available to hackers during the event. Thank you and we hope you can participate in this year’s ATX Hack for Change!
