Dote Racing
A Family Tradition
The Dote Family, a three generation race team, started competing in the mid 80s with Lynn & Sue
purchasing a 1951 Henry J drag car. Mike Dote, Lynn & Sue's son, and his wife, Connie, soon
followed in his parent's footsteps. Mike, Connie and daughters, Camie and Joanna, began
competing weekly. After fulfilling their bracket racing goals and building great family memories,
the team decided to take their passion to the next level. In 2009 the Dote's purchased a top fuel
team and have enjoyed competing to date.
Leah Pritchett – Driver & Spokesperson
California native Leah Prichett’s passion for drag racing began at a very
early age. She started driving Jr Dragsters at 8 years old, with 37 career
wins in 8 years of competition.
As soon as she was old enough Leah got behind the wheel of a full size race
car, winning 1 race and making it to the semi-finals twice. She was the first
woman to run 5 seconds in a Nostalgia Funny Car. She also set the world
record for the fastest Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, being the first person to
break 250 mph. In 2010 she was the Hot Rod Heritage Series Champion.
In 2011 Leah raced a Pro Modified car and won 3 NHRA national events in
just 2 seasons. In 2013 Leah joined Dote Racing in the ranks of Top Fuel
Dragster, ending up 15th in points overall after competing at only 12 national
events.
Leah was the highest finishing Top Fuel driver during the 2014 season that
did not complete in the full 24-race schedule.
