Visit of BJMC Students to the Department of Mass Communication, University of
Lucknow, Lucknow on 22-04-2015
April 22,2015. Nearly 25 students of Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication,
Department of Mass Communication, Babu Banarasi Das University, visited Dept. of Mass
Communication, University of Lucknow, Lucknow as part of the educational visit on April 22,
2015. Students were provided with an opportunity to see the photo lab. As per the requirement
of the prescribed syllabus, the students were captivated to learn the technologically advanced
professional cameras that were being used to take a good photograph.
Akhand Pratap Singh, BJMC student said that the visit was really good. We got to know about
various aspects of photography. Saher Altaf, BJMC student said to work on professional DSLR
cameras was really knowledge gaining experience.
Dr. Mukul Srivastava, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Journalism and Mass communication,
University of Lucknow motivated the students to gain more knowledge and information on the
basis of media study. Mr. Pintu Jourdar, Asst. Professor taught the basics of camera which was
practically done by the students in the studio by using indoor light.
The visit to the photo studio has changed the perspective of BJMC students about photography.
The visit was a valuable experience and a part of the continuous comprehensive assessment
process that is mandatory for students at the University.
