Minister:
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God; I will
seek your good. (Psalm 122:9)
People:
But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep
silence before him. (Habakkuk 2:20)
Minister:
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my
heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my Rock, and
my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
People:
O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done
marvelous things! I will sing of loyalty and of justice, to you,
O Lord, I will sing. (Psalm 98:1,4)
The Philippians
The Pastor’s Word
The Worship Through Music
People:
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand
elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my
God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Psalm 84:10)
Minister:
O Lord, I love the habitation of your house, and the
place where your glory dwells. (Psalm 26:8)
The Invocation

THE SCRIPTURE LESSON
PSALM 133
Minister:
1
How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live
together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down upon the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running
down over the collar of his robes.
Minister:
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the
house of the Lord!” Our feet
have been standing within
your gates, O Jerusalem! (Psalm 122:1-2)
People:
They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in
the courts of our God. (Psalm 92:13)
The Hymn of Praise
The Choral Response
THE CALL TO WORSHIP
THE HYMN OF PRAISE
DEAR LORD AND FATHER OF MANKIND —AME HYMNAL #344
1. Dear Lord and Father of mankind, Forgive our foolish ways;
Reclothe us in our rightful mind, In purer lives Thy service find, In
deeper reverence, praise.
2. In simple trust like theirs who heard, Beside the Syrian sea, The
gracious calling of the Lord, Let us, like them, without a word Rise
up and follow Thee.
3. Drop Thy still dews of quietness, Till all our strivings cease; Take
from our souls the strain and stress, And let our ordered lives
confess The beauty of Thy peace.
4. Breathe through the heats of our desire Thy coolness and Thy
balm; Let sense be dumb, let flesh retire; Speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire, O still, small voice of calm.
~~AMEN~~
All:
3
It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of
Zion. For there the LORD ordained his blessing, life forevermore.
THE PREFACE OF THE DECALOGUE
From all that dwell below the skies, let the Creator’s praise arise;
let the Redeemer’s name be sung, through every land by
every tongue.
THE GLORIA PATRI
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen, Amen.
BIOGRAPHY OF REV. CHASNEY JENKINS
Chasney Ketchup Jenkins was born in
Savannah Georgia to Deacon Joseph and
Audrey Ketchup. She was educated in the
Chatham County Public school system and
attended Shaw University and Armstrong
State University as a presidential scholar. She
is a graduate of Armstrong State
University where she majored in cellular
molecular biology and respiratory therapy.
At the age of 15 Chasney accepted her call
into the ministry and preached her first
sermon “Don’t go astray for there is only one
way” in which shared her testimony. The Lord has continued to bless
Chasney and expand her ministry both nationally and internationally.
She currently serves on the ministerial staff at St. John Baptist
Church as well as with the foreign mission ministry. As the Lord continues to bless and allow her ministry territory to be increased her
continuous prayer for all is that every year will be a year of not only
new beginnings, but also a year of higher heights in God.
Chasney was recently blessed to marry her college sweetheart Mr.
Montrel L. Jenkins, of Savannah Ga. She currently works at Memorial
University Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapists as well as with
