Problem with your door fob? We had a power cut in December that corrupted our door entry system, and we are still experiencing problems. To correct this, all door fobs will be disabled from 10th April. As your membership is renewed we will re-enable your fob from our database. Membership invoices: You will already have been receiving invoices for the coming season, some by E Mail, but please check your pigeon holes if we don’t have yours. Some additions this year will be asking for E Mail addresses; if we do have an E Mail address it will ensure we can keep you up to date on any changes or developments that may involve you. We are also asking for your year of birth (optional) as we wish to create an age profile of the club to help map out our future, and an emergency contact number. We recently had someone taken ill and struggled to find a contact for them. Payment for club competitions will be handled separately. Bring it on! A Scotsman had recently moved down to London where he was renting an apartment. One day his mother phoned him from Dundee and asked him how he was settling in. ‘It’s not too bad,’ he said, ‘but the woman next door shouts all night and the guy keeps banging his head on the wall.’ ‘Never mind son, don’t let their weird ways down south get to you. Simply ignore them.’ ‘Aye, that I do,’ he replied, ‘I just keep playing my bagpipes.’ Ladies Teams for the Beds & District League; Swifts, Swans & Swallows are now on display on the outdoor notice board, also the county competition entries. If you want anything entered on these sheets, let Ken know as early as possible (Issue No 52)
