Terms, Conditions and Procedures

Each artist or group will be given a venue and the contact number you have provided to make their
own arrangements with you for the hanging and displaying of their work. As you have kindly offered
space and know your venue the best, you have final choice over where the artist displays their
work.

All artists have been advised that any artwork submitted must be suitable for general public viewing
and must not contain any inappropriate images. Any work that is not deemed suitable will not be
shown.

All artists have been advised that whilst all care will be taken with their work, if they are concerned
about damage or loss, they must take out their own insurance.

Each artist has applied to the Brentwood Art and Heritage Trail Coordinator, Laurie Edmonds, to
show their work, but please be aware that no checks on any artist or group has been undertaken
and participating venues agree to the artist displaying their work on that basis. No liability will be
taken by Essex County Council, Brentwood Borough Council or any of its employees or partners.

All participating venues will need to complete an evaluation for the Brentwood Art and Trail
Coordinator, and agree to assist with visitor evaluation for Essex Summer of Art as required.

Each artist/group has been advised that they are individually responsible for the delivery and
removal of their work after the trail has ended.

Some of the artwork will be for sale and the artist will deal with any prospective purchaser direct.
Any sold work must stay in situ until the end of the trail or replaced with something of a similar
nature. Any sold work must not be removed without an alternative being placed in the space
allocated. We will ask venues to take contact details of any enquiring buyer and pass them to
Laurie Edmonds to pass them directly to the artist.
