We come to this District Conference to be part of a centralized focused energy as we accomplish our mission and stay committed with a vision! But, when concentrated and focused toward a common goal, the power is incredible! However, that power comes from the Almighty, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! With this common thread, we endeavor for the spirit of unity and reach out to a world that needs God. Together, we reach for that mark of excellence and obtain the prize of the high calling. This can impact our District with revival! Last year’s District Conference was a great time of anointed worship and a revival spirit. I pray that this District Conference propels us to the next level that God intends for us to achieve! This past year, each department has worked very hard in setting goals and reaching them. We had churches give sacrificial offerings and this helps to keep each department running smoothly and effectively! I thank our departmental leaders for a job well done! Your labor for the Lord will continue to bring blessings and it certainly blesses our District! The Campmeeting of 2014 was astounding! The ministry of Rev. Raymond Woodward and Rev. Ted Wagner left us with a feeling of excitement and purpose! I thank God for using these men to fulfill his purpose! This year we expect to see signs, wonders, and miracles under the anointing of Rev. Anthony Mangun and Rev. Nathan Scoggins. We look forward to Campmeeting 2015 knowing that it will continue to impact us again in a tremendous way. I want to thank all of our ministers for engaging with the mission God has set before us! We will keep our vision alive and work with great urgency until God returns! Together, we can continue to make a difference! I pray often for each of your families and your places of labor. I know we are nearing the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. As we endeavor to work for the kingdom, stay in prayer and fasting as we fulfill God’s Commission! We have a great challenge before us, but his power is with us! Your Servant in Christ, Rev. Marney R. Turpin District Superintendent Colorado District District Secretary-Treasurer’s Report Precious Ministers of the United Pentecostal Church, May 8, 2015 Again this year, I count it a great privilege to serve each of you, our wonderful ministers and churches of the United Pentecostal Church in the Colorado District as your District Secretary-Treasurer. While I do believe that there are other qualified who are capable of doing this job, I am certainly glad to be part of the team! Our combined efforts are making a difference for the Kingdom of God and for the United Pentecostal Church in our state. We are together a team, and each member is of great value. We value each other highly! Every souls, every minister, every church counts! I wish to thank each of you for your prayers, labours, and financial support through Ministerial Dues or Tithe and various kinds of giving. We have, in our District; 49 (up from 46) churches, daughter works, and preaching points, and 92 (up from 88) licensed ministers. I am very happy to report to you that not only did the General Fund have a positive “Net Operating Income” (even before the Departmental Assessment Fees), but also that the overall Balance in the General Fund went into the positive about half way through the year, and remained that way the rest of the year. We should celebrate this achievement! We have all worked hard together and have given to make this happen! Thank you!! I believe that we can pray a mighty revival of soul stirring conviction, of Holy Ghost outpouring, and a harvest of and discipling of souls (a torrential downpour of God’s Rain) down from Heaven into Colorado. Now is the time for a prayer-meeting birthed Apostolic Outpouring in Colorado. I challenge each minister and each church to pray for one another as we intercede for growth! Shaw District Secretary-Treasurer Global Missions Report Brethren, May 8, 2015 The whole gospel to the whole world is more than a motto, it is our mission. Reaching the whole world with the gospel of Jesus Christ is only possible as each member of Christ’s Church responds to the challenge. The Global Missions Department of the United Pentecostal Church is involved in carrying out the mission of the church outside the North America continent. The primary focus of the farmer throughout the year is the harvest. All the sacrifice and work done throughout the year is to prepare for that critical season when the fruit is gathered. I believe it is harvest time in God’s Kingdom. The Master’s focus in our day is the harvest of souls throughout the world. Thank you for your support of Global Missions in the past year. Your faithful support of missionary partners makes it possible for 289 missionary families to minister in 201 different nations around the world. At any given time as many as 25 missionary families will be traveling throughout North America to raise funds to support a tour on the foreign field. Thank you for all you do to help these kingdom workers reach their field of labor quickly. To help speed the return of our missionary families to the field, the Global Missions Department recently launched the I Am Global program. Last year over 4.3 million dollars in cash and pledges was raised before and during General Conference. These funds helped to reduce the deputation terms of 34 missionary families. We hope to continue this trend in the current year. I will be reaching out to each pastor in 2015 in advance of General Conference to answer questions and to promote the I Am Global program. I have also asked that each church try to host at least one Global Missions service each year. I appreciated so much your burden and continued support for our missionaries and their work. Nevin K. Bass Colorado District Global Missions Director North American Missions Report May 8, 2015 Colorado Pastors and Ministers, North American Missions supports the efforts of North American missionaries across our continent. We have assisted in planting churches, daughter works, and preaching points throughout North America. Through Christmas for Christ, our annual Christmas fund raising offering, we were able to raise $25,886.00 in the Colorado District churches. This figure represents more than a 90% increase in giving over last year’s offering. Thank you Colorado for a great 2014 Christmas for Christ campaign. The offering received during the Christmas season will help us to enlist, train, and financially support our current missionaries in their endeavor to establish churches in un-evangelized and underevangelized areas in Colorado. It is the vision of our Colorado North American Missions department to yearly establish a work in one of the un-evangelized areas of our state. This year we chose to go to the city of Trinidad, Colorado. The Lord blessed us to reach out to the souls of the city of Trinidad with the help of career missionary, Rev. Scott Sistrunk and the brethren of section (4). We were able to reach many people and we are currently involved in teaching home bible studies. Please pray for the city of Trinidad, Colorado. I am honored to serve as the North American Missions Director for the Colorado District and I look forward to seeing many works and churches planted throughout our state. For Him, Rev. Derwood Tate North American Missions Director Colorado District Youth Ministry Report TONY BOHRER YOUTH PRESIDENT 774 PARK CT, CRAIG, CO 81625 970-629-5081// [email protected] May 8, 2015 Greetings in the Precious Name of the Lord! I first would like to thank all of you for your support you have shown the youth department in the last year. I also would like to thank the Youth Board for all their hard work they do for our young people. If you have worked with this generation you know how challenging it can be. They are fighting a battle that most of us didn’t have to fight when we were in middle school and high school. The Colorado District Youth Board are rising to the call to reach every young person in our State. 2014 was a great year for the youth department. Even when finances were down across the board we had one of our biggest SFC years in the past 10 ten years. I want to thank you and your church for giving sacrificially to SFC. “Youth fun night” at family camp. We had around 100 young people gathered together on Friday night of Family camp. We gathered together at the Family Fun Center. A few weeks after Family Camp we had our annual youth camp, where Rev. Andrew Cox ministered to us. Youth Camp was a life changing experience for those who were in attendance. Our Superintend Bro Turpin came and preached his heart to the camp during one of the day sessions. God touched many hearts during all the services at camp. After youth camp we finished up our Sheaves for Christ campaign. Understanding that the economy has affected every family, pastor, and local church our SFC offering has been down the last few years. Even with this down economy the youth board and I believe that SFC is still worth giving to. We’re believing for a great year this year for our SFC offering. Our goal offering for 2015 is $32,000.00. We believe the Colorado District can meet this goal with 100% cooperation. One little side note the only way our missionaries buy vehicles is through SFC. It’s a cause worth giving to. Finally, we closed 2014 with youth convention. It was one of the most amazing Youth Conventions I have been a part of. Bro Jason Huckaby preached and challenged everyone that was in attendance no matter their age. I want to personally thank every pastor and minister in this wonderful District for joining the vision that this youth department has. I would like to thank you in advance for your support of the youth department as we continue to reach for the young people of Colorado. Thank you for all of your support! Youth for the kingdom, Tony Bohrer Colorado Youth President Sunday School Report 2014 was an awesome year of Bible Quizzing, CPR Rallies, Junior Camp and North American SOC crusades. All made possible because of your giving to SOC. The Sunday school department would like to thank all the Pastors for your SOC offering and support. So far in 2015, 263 have been filled with the Holy Ghost in three SOC Crusades. This is an average of 88 HG filled per week. These crusades are the results of the vision and leadership of our General Sunday School director, Bro. Steve Cannon. 50% of your SOC offering stays in Colorado and helps support Junior Camp, Beginner and Junior Bible Quizzing plus Children’s Prayer Revivals (CPR). This year at our sectional conferences, all our Sunday school sectional directors were re-elected. They are highly respected and proudly serve in the most awesome department of the Colorado District UPCI. Junior camp 2014 was blessed by the ministry of Bruce and Jami Borlik. I personally learned more about praying with children from them. They truly love the Ministry that God has called them into. From the time they start a service until the last child has left the altar, they never stopped. 16 children were filled with the Holy Ghost. With your continued prayers and SOC offerings we will continue to make the Sunday school department a viable soul saving ministry in the Colorado District. Afton Bradley Colorado District Sunday School Director Ladies Ministry Report May 8, 2015 Dear Brethren, The Ladies Committee: Kathy Shaw, Ladies Ministry Temporary Coordinator, Nancy Tate, Ladies Ministry Secretary, and Kristen Moran (Section 1), Darlene Plummer (Section 2), Theresa Wasserburger (Section 3), and Sharon Turpin (Section 4 and wife of our District Superintendent) greets you in Jesus' name. We would like to thank all of our pastors and wives for their promotion and support of 2014 Mothers’ Memorial Offering. Our total offering for Mother’s Memorial 2014 was $20,664.00, with 50% of that going to headquarters for various ministries such as Tupelo’s Children Mansion, World Network of Prayer, The Lighthouse Ranch for Boys, and My Hope Radio just to name a few! The Ladies committee set a goal of $17,000.00 for the 2014 Mother’s Memorial Offering and we surpassed our goal by quite a lot!! This year, I hope that all the churches will participate by giving to Mothers’ Memorial. We would like to thank you in advance for your generous offering to Mother’s Memorial! “NOW” was the theme for Ladies Conference 2014 held at the lovely Embassy Suites & Resort in Loveland, Colorado. This year’s Ladies Conference theme is “Beyond the Veil!” It will be June 30 through August 1, 2015. The speakers will be Sister Annette Elms and Sister Claudette Walker in the English speaking services, and Sister Eva Varela de García and Sister Bernice Burnett in the Spanish speaking services. Please see http://Ladies.ColoradoDistrict.com for more information. Let’s all look forward to a great year of “Ladies’ Ministry!” Ladies Ministry Committee (& the Appointed Temporary Coordinator: Kathy Shaw) Men’s Ministry Report May 8, 2015 To the Colorado District Conference in session, Christian Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus. It’s with great honor that I report to you on the 2014 Men’s Conference. Our time together at Rangeview Worship Center and Best Western Plus Convention Center was both exciting and revelatory as God swept through our meeting through the dynamic ministries of Rev. James Hughes, Rev. Ron Libby, & Rev. Jerry Andrade along with the inspirational music ministry of Rev. Thomas Gibson. I would like to take a moment to thank the Board of Directors who worked so diligently and tirelessly to insure this meeting went smoothly and successfully after the 2013 flood. A meeting of this caliber could not be done without a great team effort. I would also like to thank the District Board and the Colorado District brethren for allowing me to be your men's director for these many years. It has been an honor and a blessing to have served in this manner. I am looking forward to following the new director in the years to come. Sincerely yours, Rev. T.L. Plummer Men’s Ministry Director Spanish Ministry Report May 8, 2015 Greetings in the Name Of Jesus, I like to initiate by saying thank you to our Lord and Christ and to the District Board for allowing us to work as a Department in the State of Revival… “Colorado”. 2014 was the year where we began operating as an additional force to the growing expansion of the Colorado District. We did not endure a difficult start since we received a great support in the past years before we became a Department, everybody makes us feel like a family and part of their family even though our language, customs and traditions where in some way different. I also like to thank our Spanish speaking pastors, ministers, saints and everybody who in some way or other have contribute with their time, prayers, work and donations for the cause of reaching the Latino community. I always will be in debt to all this great people of God for their overwhelming passion and support that always have offering me. We’re looking forward to work hard and commit ourselves to the direction of the Holy Ghost and the authority set by God in our spiritual movement of Colorado District. Again, thank you (MUCHAS GRACIAS) for your love, burden and desire for this noble cause to glorify our Lord. God bless you and reward you for all your efforts. Sinceramente, Pastor Juan M.
