Landmark research by Independent Project Analysis, Inc. shows that 65 percent of industrial megaprojects fail. For owner‐operators, indicators of project failure in terms of cost overruns and schedule slippage usually come as a complete surprise – due to a lack of visibility into the path of construction and absence of real‐time awareness of work‐in‐progress construction status.
