SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSIONS PG Programmes 1. All applicants seeking admission to a PG Programme of Study shall be required to appear in single common entrance examination i.e. FEAT (Further Education Admission Test) except for admission in MA English and MA Hindi. 2. Admission to various Programmes of Study wherein FEAT is essential shall be made on merit of the composite score to be determined on the basis of score obtained in FEAT and marks obtained in Matric, 10+2 and UG examination as given below: 3. In case of MA English and MA Hindi, wherein FEAT is NOT essential requirement, the admission shall be made on merit to be determined on the basis of the composite score of Matric (20%), 10+2 (20%) and UG (60%). RD (MPhil/PhD) Programmes Admission to RD Programmes (i.e. MPhil/PhD) shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in TREAT and marks obtained in the qualifying examination, past academic record and performance in the Group Discussion/ Personal Interview (GD/PI): a. b. The JRF/NET/SLET qualified candidates shall be exempted from TREAT for admission to RD Programmes. For the purpose of calculating composite score, the JRF qualified candidates shall be deemed to have scored 100% marks in the TREAT whereas the NET/SLET qualified candidates shall be deemed to have scored marks equivalent to the marks scored by the topper of that year's TREAT. TREAT and that he/she shall be considered at par with NET/SLET qualified candidates. c. Subject to the fulfilment of minimum conditions for admission, a teacher who has been awarded Teacher Research Fellowship by the UGC and is working in any institution of higher education shall be exempted from Subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions, a person already employed in teaching/research profession shall be exempted from the requirement of appearing in TREAT and shall be treated at par with NET/SLET qualified candidates: i.
