क्षेत्रीय शिक्षा संस्थान, भव ु नेश्वर REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION, BHUBANESWAR, ODISHA – 751022 (राष्ट्रीय िैक्षक्षक अनस ं ान और प्रशिक्षण ऩररषद्) ु ध (NATIONAL COUNCIL OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING, NEW DELHI-110016) ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ADMISSION FOR THE SESSION 2015 – 2016 Applications are invited for admission to the following courses offered by Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar for the session 2015–2016 in ONLINE mode (please visit the RIE Bhubaneswar website www.riebbs.ac.in or www.riebbs.ori.nic.in for details). Candidates seeking admission should have passed the qualifying examinations from a recognized Board/Council/University. The courses are affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and recognized by NCTE, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English for all the courses. Last date for receipt of online applications for all courses is 30.06.2015. In addition to the courses listed below, RIE Bhubaneswar also offers a Four Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed. course (PCM and CBZ streams) and two year B.Ed. course. Admission to these courses shall be made through Common Entrance Examinations (CEEs) to be conducted by the Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer. After receiving the candidates lists from RIE Ajmer, admission to these courses of RIE Bhubaneswar will be made following the existing norms of Utkal University to which RIE Bhubaneswar is affiliated. COURSE ELIGIBILITY Note: Candidates passing any other equivalent examinations except those mentioned against each course below will not be eligible. Pass in B.Ed., B.El.Ed. with atleast 50% marks or an equivalent grade, or pass in D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each), or B.Sc.B.Ed./B.A.B.Ed. with 50% marks in Education component. 1. Two Year M.Ed. 2. M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. Pass in 4 Year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. with Chemistry, Botany, Zoology (CBZ) as in RIEs of NCERT with 55% marks each in Science and Education components or B.Sc. in CBZ with either Botany or Zoology studied for THREE YEARS with 55% marks in aggregate and B.Ed. with 55% marks from any recognized University. 3. M. Phil. in Education Post Graduate Degree in Education/M.Ed. with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. MODE OF SELECTION On the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and ENTRANCE TESTs for all courses. The details of these entrance tests shall be announced on our website www.riebbs.ac.in or www.riebbs.ori.nic.in. DETERMINATION OF HOME STATE Admission to M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. Course is open to candidates from all the States and UTs of India. Admission to all other courses is limited to candidates from the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, West Bengal and the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Home State of candidate seeking admission to the above courses except M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. will be determined in terms of the location of the Institution from where the applicant passed the qualifying Examination. In case of candidates who have passed from Institutions located outside the States/UTs given above, the home state will be determined on the basis of either (a) the current place of posting on Transfer/Settle down on Retirement on or after 30.06.2014 in the Central Govt./Autonomous Institution/Organization of the applicant’s father/mother/spouse, which should be supported by certificate from the Competent Authority mentioning the date of transfer/retirement and complete postal address, or (b) Residential and Nativity Certificate from the competent authority not below the rank of Tahasildar of above mentioned States & UT. In case of RIE, Bhubaneswar pass-out students seeking admission in M.Phil. and M.Ed. Courses, the Home State will be determined on the basis of the state from which the candidate was first admitted to the Institute. For M.Sc. (Life Science) Ed. Course, the Home State will be determined on the basis of Residential and Nativity Certificate from the competent authority as the admission is open to all the States & UTs. Contd…P/2 -: 2 :RELAXATION: Relaxation of 5% marks is allowed in case of PH/SC/ST candidates. (If any seats reserved for SC and ST categories remain vacant, the first preference will be to fill up the seats by vice-versa and then it will be on merit basis.) RESERVATION: Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/Minority and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates as per mandatory rules. Note: (i) Candidate claiming reservation under OBC category should produce certificate clearly mentioning Other Backward Caste/Class (OBC) or अन्य पिछड़ा ज़ाति/वर्ग and not belonging to creamy layer. (ii) Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC) to be obtained from the competent authority not below the rank of Tahasildar. (iii) For Minorities, certificate to be obtained from the competent authority. (iv) For PH candidate the percentage of disability should be 40% or above and the certificate should be issued by the competent authority not below the rank of Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO). TUITION FEE: Tuition fee of ` 250/- per month shall be charged from every candidate except SC/ST. SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships are awarded to students as per NCERT rules. APPLICATION FEE: Application fee of ` 400/- (` 200/- for PH/SC/ST only) shall be charged for each application for each course and each subject combination. HOW TO APPLY: Candidates may apply for all courses ONLINE following the procedure laid down in the RIE Bhubaneswar website www.riebbs.ac.in or www.riebbs.ori.nic.in. Separate application form is required for each course. N. B. : Applications which are found to be incomplete/incorrect /illegible/false in any respect and applications received after due date will be summarily rejected without any refund of the fees paid for the same.
