The Renal End of Life Workshop is a full day course offered to renal staff in
Alberta to help them explore the patient experience and develop a skill set that
allows them to care for patients at end of life. The concepts and content are
applicable to all renal patients and would be useful to any member of the health
team. This workshop explores the unique features of Renal End of Life and the
journey the patient and family live when dealing with the decision to stop dialysis.
Communication and Advance Care Planning skills are reviewed and participants
are given exercises to enhance their new knowledge. Lastly, there is module on
self care and how to look after oneself when looking after chronically ill patients
who are reaching their end of life

Through an agreement between the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and The American Medical
Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits

In general, each course offers a light
breakfast, nutrition break(s) and lunch.
We are unable to accommodate special
dietary restrictions (for example, gluten
free, peanut allergies).
A registration refund will be made
upon written request if made at least
2 weeks before the start of the program.
However $50 will be retained for
administrative costs. No refunds will be
available for cancellations made within
2 weeks of the start of the program
and thereafter. NOTE: Refunds are
processed only on the return of original
receipt. All receipts must be returned
within 30 days after program date.

attending this event, we ask you to not
wear scented products.
CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
