INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MODEL: KPSA 20/10 ELECTRIC WATER PUMP READ OVER THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL ELECTROPUMP FOR OPTIMUM RESULT BEFORE OPERATION THE The permited voltage of this pump is 10% of rated voltage. Otherwise it will be shortening the service life of the pump. DIRJEN PDN – No: P.34.GP6.00901.1111 ENGLISH 1. PRECAUTION BEFOR USING THE PUMP 1. Connection/replacement of power cable must be carried out by manufacturer or Central Service Station or apointed Autorized Service Center or by qualified skilled personnel to avoid risk. (Fig. 1) 2. This product is for fixed wiring. 3. In the event of connecting power cable, disconnect the electropump from the power mains. (Fig. 2) 4. Sugestion: Connect power cable to electric switch. sand filter 5. To connect the power cable, please follow the wiring diagram instruction (section 6 in this electropump manual). 6. Do not to use the pump for other liquids except water. If it used for solvent such as benzol, acid, flammable liquids such as gasoline and highviscous liquid, there is a risk of the fire and also shorten the service life of pump. (Fig. 3) 7. Avoid operating of under condition of dry running and delivery no water. For it will shorten the service life of pump and also cause the trouble of motor. 8. Never wrap the motor or the pump head with a blanket or cloth for preventing freezing in the cold weather because, it can cause fire. 9. Avoid using the pump under the condition of ambient temperature ove 40°C and below -10°C and for hot water over 40°C, for it will shorten the service life of the pump. 10.Avoid install the pump under the condition exposed to the direct sun or rain (Fig.1). For it will shorten the service life of the pump and electric shock hazard. 11.When this pump is set up in the well which is easy to suck in sand, above all, sand filter is needed. For it to prevent the defacement of the impeller for a short time, the declining of pressure and decrease of the water pumping. WHEN THE PUMP IS REUSED AFTER LONG TIME * There is a possibility for the motor not to be operated in spite of switching on the electric power because of sticking and solidification of the dirt and filth in the water of the pump head. In that case, turn off the power, then turn the shaft at the back of the motor for a few times with screwdriver or some kind like that (Fig.3). Then you can operate the pump as usual. 1 ENGLISH 2. APPERANCE AND NAME OF PARTS IMPORTANT Minimum distance 1 8 2 7 3 6 5 4 But when the must be installed away from the well to the pump is limited according to the suction lift. 3. Electropump must be install 30cm above the flatground level to avoid electropump get flooded. 4. Select the place where the pump can be conveniently checked or repaired after installation. For installing the pump in the narrow place because of the circumstances, the room just like the figure is needed. 5. Minimize the number of the elbows to prevent the water leaking in the pump in the piping or to lessen the resistance of water. 6. Measure the depth from the ground surface to that of the well. The suction head is standardized at 8m (max. 9m). INFORMATION 1. Discharge Flange 2. Casing 3. Suction Flange 4. Impeller Cover 5. Motor 6. Condensor Cover 7. Fan Cover 8. Hopper Cap 3. HOW TO OPERATE THE PUMP 1. This pump requires a little priming water at the very beginning of operation. Prime it without fail before starting. 2. Open the Hopper Cap at the pump casing, pour priming water until casing full of water. 3. Close the Hopper Cap and all tabs. 4. Turn on the electropumps, wait a few second until the electropump suck the water, then open the tab, water will come out. 5. If the water not come out, it may be caused by the lack of priming water, so repeat priming. 5.
