The Catholic Community Divine Savior f o Norridge, IL Page Two Fifth Sunday of Lent March 22, 2015 Shadow Stations of the Cross Presented by youth from our Parish Friday, March 27th 6:30PM With opportunity for individual Reconciliation to follow A Deep, Biblical Look at Jesus Christ Priest, Prophet, King Father Robert Barron Monday – Wednesday March 30 – April 1 at 6:30 PM Taizé Prayer Tuesday, March 24th, at 7:00pm in our Parish Church. Candlelight, prayer, scripture, psalms, and quiet reflection as we gather in song and meditation to find the Lord within us. Come and be with us. The better we understand Jesus, the better we understand ourselves. But who was Jesus, this itinerant preacher whom many called the Messiah? In Priest, Prophet, King, you’ll discover Jesus as the Anointed One–the ultimate priest, prophet, and king foreshadowed throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. Using biblical insights and engaging stories, Father Barron affirms that we see Jesus most clearly through the lens of the Old Testament. Through this deeply biblical program, you will better understand Jesus, become more familiar with Scripture, and realize your own priestly, prophetic, and kingly mission, received when you are baptized “into Christ.” Come experience the Labyrinth St. Celestine Parish, 3020 N. 76th Court, Elmwood Park, IL, invites you to discover the positive effects of walking the labyrinth to reflect, meditate, and to realign your deeper self during this Lenten season. The labyrinth and meditation room will be open during the following hours. It takes approximately 20 minutes to walk. The Intercessory Prayer Group will pray over them during their meeting. The Prayer Group meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30PM in the Rectory basement. The next meeting is Tuesday, March 24th. The meetings are devoted to praise and thanksgiving, praying, scripture sharing, recitation of the rosary, teachings, songs, and witnessing to the goodness of our Lord. All are welcome. Reflections from our Holy Father Pope Francis And the Lord invites us to this: to be rejuvenated Easter people on a journey of love, patience, enduring our tribulations and also – I would say – putting up with one another. We must also do this with charity and love, because if I have to put up with you, I’m sure you will put up with me; and in this way, we will move forward on our journey on the path of Jesus.
