10 L’Oréal UNESCO Fellowships for women in science
The L’Oréal Foundation is calling on women scientists to apply for their 5th edition of the L’Oréal
UNESCO for Women Science Sub-Saharan Africa Fellowships which aim to support young women
scientists.
The fellowships will be granted as follows:

5 fellowships worth € 5,000 each will be allocated to 5 African PhD students enrolled in an
African university;
5 fellowships worth € 10,000 each will be granted to 5 post-doctoral researchers working in a
laboratory or research institute
Eligibility
Applicants must
·
·
·
·
Have a PhD degree in life or physical sciences or pursuing studies leading to a PhD degree
Be a nationality of a Sub-Sahara African country
Be working in research laboratory or institution in one of the region’s countries or be enrolled n
a doctoral programme at a University in Sub-Sahara Africa
Not be more than 40 years by the end of the application period for PhD and not more than 45
years for post-doctoral
