EDMONTON’S PREMIERE NEW TOWER TO ENCOMPASS HISTORICAL LANDMARK
Will be one of the first purpose built rental towers constructed in decades; will also provide

The Hendrix Building, which will soon become Edmonton’s premiere new residential tower is embracing
the historical past of Edmonton, as well as the current needs of the city’s ever changing landscape. As the
Building is designed to meet LEED Silver designation, environmental impact is also front of mind.

On October 1, 2014, at 4 PM, Edgar Development Corp will break ground and celebrate this important
milestone on the future site of its newest residential tower at 9733 111 Street. The Hendrix, scheduled for
occupancy in summer 2016, will be a 29 storey LEED Silver apartment building well located in
Edmonton's central Oliver neighbourhood, and upon completion will be one of Edmonton’s most desirable
rental properties. The building will contain 260 units on a two-storey podium featuring street oriented
townhomes and will incorporate J.T. Ross house, an existing historical home. The building will be
comprised of studios, townhomes, and one, two, and three bedroom units ranging in size from 417
square feet for the studio units to 1,293 square feet for the townhouse units.!

The historical J.T. Ross house which was previously located on the site is being preserved with the
interior to be converted into boutique office space, and the exterior fully restored.
The Hendrix, being the first purpose built high rise in almost 20 years, will be responding to the demand
for more housing options in the downtown core geared towards families and professionals alike. Many
families looking for downtown living alternatives will find solutions in the building, with 13 townhomes that
are zoned as family oriented units, with either 2 or 3 bedrooms.
