You can access peer tutoring, one on one help from subject teachers and also get Tongan language and Samoan language tutoring. The centre operates every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 5pm. See you there. All Silver CREST meeting SP2 Tomorrow lunchtime (GHA) Could all students in years 11,12 and 13 who are already working on a Silver CREST project or have expressed an interest in doing a project this year please come and see me for a quick meeting in SP2 on Thursday 30th during lunchtime. All WW1 Commemoration Exhibition D11, D12, D13 Lunchtime (BAR) To commemorate the 100th year anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli, the Year 11 History students have created an interactive, multimedia museum exhibition. The exhibition summarises the different battles of the First World War, remembers the experiences of the soldiers who fought for New Zealand and recognises the impact this event has had on our country. Come along to the History Department corridor at lunchtime to learn something new! All Bronze CREST meeting SP2 Friday lunchtime (GHA) Could all students in years 9 and 10 who have expressed an interest in doing a Science project this year please come and see me for a quick meeting in SP2 on Friday 1st May during lunchtime. Mrs Ghanim All Year 12 Self Portrait Exhibition Outside Hall Today (zSPE) To all students interested in Art, particularly Year 11 students; take some time over the next few days to check out the stunning self portraits created by this years' Year 12 Painters. The exhibition is located in the display cabinet outside the hall. Arts/Cultural Art Club A11 Monday lunchtime (BRE) All students and teachers working on the 100 flowers mural please meet in A11 at lunchtime on Monday the 4th of May to share ideas and progress. Arts/Cultural SAMOAN SPEECH COMPETITION Arts/Cultural (KRI) There is a regional Samoan speech contest on the 25th of June. Students from years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 can enter. The topic for this year is "Taitua ma e faamaoni nei, mo sou taeao manuia/Serve with diligentce". If you are interested in taking part, please come and see Ms. Krishnan in D20 for more information. Arts/Cultural LANGUAGES TUTORING: P8 lunchtimes (zRAM) Languages tutoring will be available every Friday lunchtime, starting 1st May in P8, language block. Come and listen and meet with a comedian and a comic book writer and some other familiar faces from EGGS who like to ask questions, talk, think and enjoy being confused at a deeper level. You can purchase them during tutor times at $30 per top. Sports LIFESAVING STAR: Outside the pool Today morning tea (zRAM) All girls who are wishing to do Bronze Star (Level 1) lifesaving, please come to a meeting tomorrow morning tea. This is also compulsory for Bronze star instructors, as you will all be finding out your teams for this season. Wednesday morning tea outside the pool. Please collect a permission form from the Sports Office Sports Learn to be a Hockey Goalkeeper Sports (zHUR) If you are playing hockey this year and would like to learn how to play goal keeper, Ms Clarke will be running an introductory session lunchtime Wednesday 29th April in the New Gym and Thursday 7th May in the Old Gym. You will need to have PE gear and sports shoes.
