Press release 2015 Edition: With over 700 participants, ROOMn is definitely the sector’s major event Recently, on 1 and 2 April, the Rendez-vous One-to-One de la Mobilité numérique were held, providing an opportunity for 700 digital transformation decision makers, as well as IT and BU directors to meet and share their experiences, vision, etc. so they can deploy the most appropriate digital strategies in their companies. Hailed by all participants for the high quality of its content, ROOMn was a discussion forum for major innovating market players such as Groupe Accor, Voyages-Sncf.com and Google for Work, as well as the platform chosen by Microsoft to present its new tablet, Surface 3. Let's take a look back at two days jam-packed with content, discussions and business. ROOMn 2015, mobility as the engine for transformation ROOMn opened with an address by Eric Hazan, Associate Director at McKinsey, who presented the results of a study, "What are the stakes of the digital and mobile transformation for French companies?" Backed by trends identified in several countries, and the USA in particular, the survey demonstrated the impact of mobile and digital technologies on corporate environments that are forced to pursue their digital transformation, seizing all available opportunities: "For any given company, going digital can improve gross operating results by over 40% compared with a 20% drop in the same results when the digital switch is delayed", concluded Eric Hazan. The presentation was followed by a round table, focussing on the client experience, a mobile and ultra-connected client, with the participation of four big names in the French economy, precursors in mobile marketing, who have made mobile technologies the spearhead of this customer experience: - Pascal Lannoo, Digital Customer Experience Director at Voyages-Sncf.com Olivier Godart,E-commerce Director at Darty Benoit Cizeron, Mobile Manager at AXA Laurent Porracchia, Vice President, Digital Security and Authentication at Safran Morpho Other highlights of this edition were the presentations of two IT giants to mark their solid anchoring in BtoB solutions dedicated to mobility: "Google For Work" for Mountain View and the launch of Microsoft's Surface 3. These two events reflect growing interest in ROOMn by major players. Last, ROOMn closed with feedback from Vivek Badrinath, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Digital, Distribution and Information Systems at Accor, on the extensive digital transformation the group has set up to revolutionise its business models and create a new dynamic where innovation, mobility and the customer experience reign. ROOMn 2015: partner workshops and expert round tables to understand and stay one step ahead of digital issues Throughout the two-day event, over 60 round tables and partner workshops were held to help participants share their vision and experiences. The presentations by various partners also provided food for thought on how to assist BUs in their digital projects, and, more broadly, their organisation in their digital strategy. "Thanks to the players present on the Forum, ROOMn helps us better understand the technological challenges we will have to meet, but most of all it helps us mature with regard to the challenges the BUs are facing", states Mohame Hai, Technical Architecture Manager at Malakoff Médéric. The Innovation Area at the heart of tomorrow's mobile uses At its Innovation Area, ROOMn welcomed French start-ups working with contactless technologies: NFC, iBeacon, contactless payment, LIFI, eye tracking, etc. Demonstrations helped to clearly understand how contactless technologies can be used. "This third edition was a real success for us, both in terms of participants — we saw a huge increase in the numbers of business visitors — and partners, with attendance by big names in the sector. These two factors confirm that we've made the right choice: to provide more and more high added-value content and give our guests a chance to meet and talk", states Sophie Guerin, Events Director at DG Consultants. "The date and venue of the next edition will change: we’ll see you on 8, 9 and 10 March 2016 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco."
