ANGEL CITY When the IMC instituted martial law in Angel City, massive walls were built and a system of security checkpoints was created to divide the city into many smaller districts. The unfortunate residents of the Harbor District, now unable to move freely throughout the city, are only able to view the glittering skyline from afar. Pilots fighting in the city gravitate to the highly accessible rooftops, using them to cross entire city districts without ever touching the ground. Red represents the highest concentrations of minion deaths on this composite heat map. ANGEL CITY MAP OVERVIEW Your position on this map will directly reflect on the scoreboard. Control the rooftops and you will win the game. This wall run also works extremely well to attack an enemy Pilot in the third level of the Market and to get to the roof quickly. ››Controlling the roof of the Market allows you to oversee the Courtyard and the road around it. Keep an eye on these choke points to pick off fighting minions and enemy Pilots. It is also a great location to fire upon enemy Titans from above, because you can retreat down any of the four openings leading to the third level of the Market for cover. ››The Up Mart is another favorable spot for Pilots to kill minions down below in the streets while also having a great overview of the map to spot enemy Pilots. The Up Mart has many ways to wall jump to the top of the roof, so keep moving around and never stay in one location. ››The Market is a great spot to use the EVA-8 Shotgun and Active Radar Pulse. You can clear out minions that frequently roam the bottom floor, as well as use your Tactical Ability to find Pilots above and wall jump up in the center of the Market to get as close as possible for the kill. ››With all the buildings near the center of the city, this area is easily seen from many rooftops on the map and is asking to be attacked by Anti-Titan weapons and Arc Grenades. Be cautious of using your Titan’s dashes—save your dashes to escape the city once enemy Pilots begin dealing damage to you. ››Pilots need to patrol the Storage for enemies. This area can spawn many minions, allowing you to set up an ambush on an unsuspecting enemy Pilot. ››When playing as the Militia, controlling the Angel Apartments near the IMC initial spawn will provide you with many minion kills. You will find enemy Pilots spawning in this area quite often unless your team pushes to close to their spawn. 4 PRIMA OFFICIAL PREVIEW GUIDE WWW.PRIMAGAMES.COM ANGEL CITY HARDPOINT DOMINATION 1 C 8 2 4 B 5 3 7 A 9 6 LEGEND 1 Storage IMC Deployment 2 Red Star Restaurant 3 Market 4 Courtyard 5 Kodai Building 6 Angel Apartments 7 Up Mart 8 Backyard 9 Walkway Militia Deployment A Hardpoint A B Hardpoint B C Hardpoint C Evac Point 5 PRIMA OFFICIAL PREVIEW GUIDE WWW.PRIMAGAMES.COM ANGEL CITY TACTICS ››The most effective strategy to win is controlling Hardpoints B and C. Hardpoint C is accessible by Titans, making it easy to capture. Once both are captured, move a Titan to help defend Hardpoint B. Since Hardpoint C is accessible by Titans, you have time to retreat back when you notice the opposing team is trying to capture it. ››Inside the third level of the Market where you capture Hardpoint B is a box that can be used to defend against the opposing team when the objective is under your control. Crouch behind the box and get an easy kill when an enemy Pilot walks by. Don’t stay here if you take down an enemy Pilot—move from spot to spot, keeping the enemy guessing where you are going to be next. ››Before running into Hardpoint B, scale the building to make it to the roof. On top you will notice openings to drop down towards the objective. Pay attention to your hit markers as you throw grenades in corners to injure or kill enemies before dropping in. ››Hardpoint B’s capture radius is large and gives you many places to hide and move while capturing the area. Watch a specific set of windows and stairway instead of moving around from one side of the building to the other. If you see the Hardpoint is contested, then turn around and find the lurking Pilot. ››Careful when pushing to Hardpoint A with a Titan. This narrow street can be a death trap if you don’t have a friendly Titan on the streets or a friendly Pilot backing you up on the roofs. ››When defending Hardpoint A, equip the Tier 1 kit Explosives Pack and equip Frag Grenades. Spot the direction your enemies will come from and throw your grenades at the windows when they try to jump in. If they survive the explosion they will be so weak that you can easily finish them off. PRO TIP: WALSHY Hide in the long, open crate inside Hardpoint C to capture the point and catch enemies off guard. Watch the garage door closest to you until the Hardpoint on your HUD says the area is contested, indicating the enemy entered from a different entrance. Then move from one side of the open crate to the other side until the enemy Pilot is exposed. 6 PRIMA OFFICIAL PREVIEW GUIDE WWW.PRIMAGAMES.COM ANGEL CITY LAST TITAN STANDING 1 8 2 4 5 3 7 9 6 LEGEND 1 Storage IMC Deployment 2 Red Star Restaurant 3 Market 4 Courtyard 5 Kodai Building 6 Angel Apartments 7 Up Mart 8 Backyard 9 Walkway Militia Deployment 7 PRIMA OFFICIAL PREVIEW GUIDE WWW.PRIMAGAMES.COM ANGEL CITY TACTICS PRO TIP: FLAMESWORD Work with a teammate Titan to bait an enemy in for a 2vs1. You or your Titan friend can hide behind a building or structure while the other Titan looks vulnerable and weak to draw in the enemy Titan, letting it think it has the upper hand. When the enemy Titan gets near the structure, you and your teammate aggressively attack the enemy Titan to dominate it in 2vs1. ››Spreading out is a must. Gain control of the Market’s cross streets and make the enemy Titans funnel in through the narrow entrances. ››Cluster Missile and Rocket Salvo are ideal for dishing out as much damage as possible to all the enemy Titans that are sure to be next to each other on these confined streets. ››This map allows for multiple primary weapons to shine. Choose the one that best fits your style. If you want to sit back, go with the Plasma Railgun. If you are the aggressive type, you can’t go wrong with the 40mm Cannon. ››Although it is tempting, refrain from attempting a rodeo attack on an enemy Titan. Other enemy Titans are sure to be close by to shoot you off. Go for a rodeo attack on an enemy Titan if it is alone or is the last enemy Titan left. ››A great time to deploy an Auto-Titan is when you are near a building. As a Pilot, you’re able to jump to the top of a building and attack alongside your Auto-Titan, dealing double the damage to enemy Titans. 8 PRIMA OFFICIAL PREVIEW GUIDE WWW.PRIMAGAMES.COM
