certification was
given to 1,500
out of 50,000
non profits and
charities across
the nation,
designating
recipients as
being in the top 3
percent of charities
in the United States.
FamilyWorks was
founded in 1978 as a 501
(c)(3) nonprofit, under the
name A.P.P.L.E. – to meet
the growing isolation,
confusion and pressure felt
by parents and children in
today’s families. (Longtime
residents in the community know us as
A.P.P.L.E. Family Center).
Over the years FamilyWorks’ pioneering
services have been woven into the fabric
of the community, while new services are
developed to meet families’ changing needs.
FamilyWorks serves people
of all ages and stages of
personal and family
development, including
adults in the workplace
and children in school.
Parents are
routinely referred to
FamilyWorks by public
and private agencies,
professionals and
satisfied participants.
FamilyWorks is dedicated
to “strengthening
relationships for a
lifetime,” through
education, psychotherapy,
magazine publication, and
other life-skills services.
FamilyWorks focuses
on early intervention
and prevention
services, enabling people of all ages and
circumstances to improve communication,
build compassion, increase self-awareness
and learn essential life-skills.
